Yet, eating too much meat is more dangerous than being a vegi.
You can always take more supplements and vitamins.
Many modern illnesses, like cancer and heart attacks, are found in higher frequency with people eating meat often(more than 2-3 times a week), and they have a shorter life span on average- much shorter.

I used to be a Vegetarian, but stopped because it made me very weak. (lack of Iron, had to take pills.)
However this is a personal problem- there are many Vegetarians who take supplements and gain all the nutrients they need from them.

You shouldn't need supplements. Iron is present in green leafy vegetables, beans, peas, among other things.

1.) girls need calcium, esp. pre-menstrual ones. you get more calcium from dairy than elsewhere. without it, expect a fun time with osteoporosis and broken hips in later life.

Calcium is present in nuts and seeds, beans, green leafy vegetables like collard greens, kale, and in lesser quantities in broccoli and oranges and other things.

2.) protein is used in regenerating skin cells, hair follicles, muscle tissue, etc etc

And protein is present in just about everything. Especially beans, nuts, seeds, and many grains.

3.) dairy contains lactic acid, which is used in breaking down then repairing muscular tissue

So? Lactic acid gets produced right in your body.

4.) red meat contains iron. while some vegetables contain iron, red meat trumps it by leaps and bounds.

Iron is accessible from vegetables. The iron in meat is more easily absorbed, but may also have connections to colorectal cancer.

5.) meats contain all amino acids we require to run for a day efficiently in a single serving. supplements can only manage a percentage of these amino acids, not all.

Do you know what amino acids are? They're the building blocks for protein. As I stated above, protein is available from many other sources. It is true that not all proteins contain all necessary amino acids. That is why it's important to eat a variety of foods.

6.) fish contains omega-3 fatty acids, which may reduce the risk for alzheimer's, and it lowers the amount of cholesterol in your body over time. it also reduces blood pressure.

It's present in flax seeds without the risk of ingesting heavy metals along with it. Yummy.

7.) vitamin d is most present in dairy products. without it you cannot efficiently regenerate/repair bone or heart tissue. you can get it in supplements but actually this has been proven several times to be an imperfect substitute.

Go outside?

Not enough to equal one glass of milk. If you had three large spinach salads a day you wouldn't get your necessary calcium and run a risk of getting some minor cancers due to the overabundance of certain chemicals in leafy green vegetables.

You shouldn't need supplements.
There is absolutely no way to get vitamin B12 without supplements.

So? Lactic acid gets produced right in your body.
Because exhausting yourself to produce said lactic acid is sooo much easier than drinking a glass of milk or snacking on some cheese.

That's purely speculation. There is no scientific proof.

There are a few amino acids that are ONLY available in meat. Luckily these are ones our bodies don't need as readily.

WTF!?

That is why it's important to eat a variety of foods.
Thanks, have a nice day.

Okay, I just want to point out that by the whole world being vegetarian, you need to eat the same quantity of everything as an omnivorous person does usually, but you are eating it straight from the food for the animals you are eating it to save, which can lead to them being malnourished and less likely to survive than the present ones, and with less plants, does that not mean that conversion of CO2 to O2 takes longer, leading to damaged lungs of these animals I mentioned were being 'saved' earlier. If any actual arguments for either side come up, PM me please.
I'm not against vegetarianism, just the whole "Radical Conservation" oxymoron.

And chicken burgers do exist. Always have. burger comes from "hamburger" meaning "from hamburg".

Also, Marshmallow contains pig and cow. I pity vegetarians for that.

ahahahaha

yeah because following a strict plant diet means the near-complete extinction of the plant species in question

we will even eat trees and grass because we are crazy

you seriously bumped a topic from August to say this?

Well, I get that the grass bit is a stretch, but think of the boom in population of Cow, Sheep and pig that would result from under-hunting, and how that influences the growth of grass and such. I had only a few minutes to prepare my point, so I kind of glanced past a few details. but you cannot deny the marshmallow thing.

We don't hunt cows and pigs (not on the wider scale of farming, at least). If there were no demand for meat products, the animals would not have been bred and kept in the first place. If there was a sudden seizure in meat consumption, stock production would be halted until there was a demand (as would be the case with any product).

The marshmallow thing varies, but most I've seen are veggie, but not vegan, so it's hardly an issue.

however that is hardly such a major point of the discussion that you should ignore everything else in favour of a tangential discussion on marshmallows
