Hello there fellow inhabitants of this forum, I would very much like to get some constructive criticism
on my work. Keep in mind that most of it is for my own use, so no stealing if you should find it
worthy of stealing, which I doubt.

There are some old things here, especially the five character sprites to the left (2006)
So for them I would not really want an analysis of my spriting technique, but rather the designs.

Lastly, it was all made in paint, so that's my excuse for bad colour palettes. (and yes, I did by
a mistake save the gunblade concept as a .jpg instead of .png...)

In advance, thanks for all feedback (as long as it is not flaming).

Cheers,
Waiise

The character sets don't look too bad.  I mean, the hair seems flat and lifeless, but I don't know how hard it is to get lifely-hair on sprites that small.  Never tried.

Your faces are simply ok (the bigger ones, the ones not in a box).  I think they would do better if you smoothed out the lines (no, not using the brush in photoshop, what I mean is... they seem kinda not smooth, even for pixel lines).  The lines in places looks too thick for no reason, as if you weren't very careful in cleaning up the black lines before you colored.  Here, I think I have a good tutorial for just that... http://derekyu.com/extras/pixel05.html <-- That says you right now have "crude outline".

Good luck with it. Oh, also:

Lastly, it was all made in paint, so that's my excuse for bad colour palettes.

Don't blame that on Paint.  No offense, but your bad color palette would be your fault.  Paint has nothing to do with it.  It just takes time to I guess be good at choosing colors and all that.

Thanks for the info, and about those faces not in the box, they're actually more like sketches, as you said, I wasn't very careful about the lines and they are something I'm going to work on further. There's only two of them I'm keeping as a big part of a story I'm creating, don't know yet if I will actually turn it into a game though. Once again, thanks for the constructive criticism.

And yes, I know that paint is a bad excuse, it was more ironic. I suppose it didn't come out that clearly.
