Vampire Hunter: The Haunting

In a disturbed and dark world, demon runs everything. There isn't one place of light except in one small corner of the world. A small area of this world is ruled by the Vampire Hunters. Even the greatest of these demons fear these men. Holy and un-merciful toward them, they would do anything to destroy. Wielding their Crosses and whips, they don't allow any defilement to their perfect part of the world. But they can't stop the flow of time, slowly eroding away their borders. Now, a young Vampire Hunter has come upon a castle in their own borders haunted by demons and vampires and grimlins. A grim line of work have these creature caused, taking the women from the local village and doing who knows what with them. Now is his only chance to kill them all, but alone it is almost impossible. He has almost no chance of success, but he is willing to die just to stop they creatures of the night. Just to protect the only thing he has know as home, he is risking everything. He is ready for any fate that takes him.

And as he enters the great castle, a certain feel sways inside him to go to the dark world and change to his true calling. He is Jack.... Jack the King of the Pumpkins. And now, many years later, a child with the same reason to destroy the gateway must choose in which path he will take. Will he be evil, or will he fall the light? Only time will tell....

Choose your god, choose your class, choose your race, choose your gender. Choose from 10 classes with their own unique abilities, strengths and weaknesses. With up to 5 more races to choose from and 5 different starting locations. Battle fierce monsters in the wilderness of the world. Go between the world of light and the depths of the world of hatred. Fight great battles against the demons, or join with Jack-O-Lantern and destroy the world of light. It is all your choice of actions. Destroy entire towns and kill great beasts that threaten your home. Feel what you wish to believe and go with the light, or choose the soul of darkness and go with the evil.

I haven't really started on the full project, but I know by july of next year I'll have Version .1 finished of the game. For about a year after that I'll release a new version about weekly and on holidays there will be special versions (limited to those who reserve the download) with new items that are very rare and unique. I plan on having either an animated side view battle system, or, if I'm lucky enough I'll have more like a zelda battle system. Character Styles:
Right now, ive got 2 different styles for my characters for the final project. One is very small, and the other looks a bit more real.

I havent finished the taller one just yet.

Other aditions not on the website: Multi level builds (all building insides will be on the same map, but instead of being like just a normal map, Ill use variables to switch from the first floor to the second to the third and so forth untill the last floor listed. Also, for cut scenes this will be used for large maps that really need it.)
 
small. I already know. Your gonna do the small sprites. I really like the small ones ^^,
Oh oh! Or better yet. have the small sprite when walking around outside, and the bigger one inside. Or any mix. Like small during game play, and big durgin cut scenes.....
 
Actually, if I have a World Map, I'll use the small for that and the large for the towns. I know I'll use the small for fairies and such (GRIMLINS!). The Large will be for main characters and things like Pumpkin Heads. Ill have a final one for large character types such as giants and golems the roughly will be around 1.5 times to 2 times bigger than medium.
 
The demo probably won't come out for a while 'cause the guy that was supposed to be helping me with the tilesets just seemed to quit and not do anything so I'm doing everything myself. I mostly only have problems with the water details, but if I screw up anything It'll probably make the game a failure.

This game will have many different features I hope to get in the demo and full version of the game. It will have a Zelda type battle system(this will end up being replaced with an animated side-view battle system), many weapons to choose from. Alot of quests to get rare and unique items. There will be a mining and smithing system and a crafting system (These I will do myself with Common Events. GO COMMON EVENTS!). There will be many enemies to fight, and many monster cities to goto. The game should be completely unique without any RTP characters at all (this is hopefully right now, not completely sure if I can do this). I hope I can get in a day/night system also. The game will be updated every one or two weeks, so be sure to get the new updates when they come out.



Holidays:

Every week before a holiday, I will release a special version of the game. For one week, the update will be able to be downloaded. If you download it, you can find new and rare items that sold at shop will fetch a large amount, but beware! After sold, you can no longer get the item!



Smithing:

To smith, you will need to mine ore. Although you don't gain levels in smithing or mining, there are strong monsters guarding the smithing stones and ores. To smith, you will need the proper type of hammer and the type of ore to use it with. You must be at a smithing stone to smith the item, and you also must have the proper hammer and ore and any other required items with a mold of the weapon you want to design. (weapons such as a Dragon Scale Long Sword require many items and many high levels to kill. It requires you kill a level 90 Red Dragon Scale, Gold Ore, Gradiant Bar and a ruby. To get the Gradiant Ore you must kill a level 78 Granish and the Gold Ore requires you kill a level 21 Gold Giant.) To craft it is much easier. First you can buy all the supplies, but it takes levels unlike the smithing and mining.
