Unexpected type of file [CLOSE THIS, NEVERMIND]

Hi all ^^

Until yesterday my game worked. Which means, I could use rpg maker xp to open it and there wasn't a big deal. Today, I tried opening my file and it got that error. Why is that? My files got corrupted? u.u may someone help me please?

This happened to me randomly. The best thing to do is back up your game once a week to avoid this. That's all I can say.

Your game file didn't save properly. It also happens when one uses the illegal version.
I don't know if it works, but try this:
Copy your data folder to a new game folder
Do the same with graphics
and audio.

did that. however now the error is "Tileset reading failed".

maybe I just didn't save properly, and I think I know when that happened.. pc crashed randomly, I can't tell if I had rpg maker xp opened but most likely...

nope, just scanned the project folder and it has no virus. and I also made sure it's just the project - another game worked.

EDIT: Forget it. Gonna do everything again. At least it wasn't that much, just a pair of scripts, four or five common events, some characters and all.
