Underground Hip Hop

This music is me. It's part of my culture as a Bboy.
I love my Underground.
I brake dance, graffiti, Dj, and freestyle.
These are the four elements of underground Hip Hop.

Anyways... does anyone listen to Underground Musik?

Just to tell people Hip Hop and Rap are not the same thing.
Rap is the gay cousin of Hip Hop in a Jesus Freaks family.
Also this topic is NOT for a rock vs rap battle. I get very tired of that.
Here's a list of some of the people I listen to, not all of them are
Underground but they grew up in the Under.
I'll post some of my Graff art later. I have to find my book.

MF Doom
Danger Doom
Mad Villain
Danger Mouse
Gnarls Barkley
Count Bass D
Percee P
J Dilla
Medina Green
Mos Def
Talib
Wyclef
Common
De la Soul (Some of their stuff, not all)
DELTRON3030!!!
Gorillaz
Any and all of the Wu Tang Clan
Outkast
Dungeon Family
Cee-Lo
Jaylib
Little Brother
Lupe Fiasco (The last hope of mainstream)
Madlib
Organized Konfusion (Ol' Skool)
Pharoahe Monch (can't wait for the new CD)
A Tribe Called Quest
Anwar Superstar (This guy will make you rethink on what you believe is good hip hop)
Guilty Simpson
Mr. Fantasik (Even though he only has like 3 songs in the past 4 yrs)
Mrs. Angelik (this female owns)
Red Man
Chaos (you'll never find his shit)

Rap is music. Hiphop is culture. Rap is hiphop music. Del is a good rapper, but his music isn't really all that great. =\

Lupe has crazy flow. He's definitely one of the best things to hit the mainstream in a long time.

And if you like freestyle, how are you gonna leave out Eyedea? That dude's the best battler out there (if you ask me). Also... Aes rock is an ox. That's my dude. Best damn indy rapper that there is.

oh yeah.. RA the Rugged man. Mad famous for bein unknown. He's a beast, too.

I use the term rap because most of the time when I ask someone if they listen to Underground the first thing they pop out of their mouth is someone like Ludacris. So i guess the correct term would be.. Radio Music.

I love Del. o.O His music is always better when it's not his cd i've noticed.
Eydea is the shit, I just made up that list off the top of my head.
Eyedea has a CD coming out soon, right?

This guy
http://www.myspace.com/52388879
is my favorite person in Underground right now.
He's one of that rappers know of and respect but someone you never see on TV.
He's Mos Def Brother known as Anwar Superstar.

Figured something like that. Everyone likes Eyedea. =D I got no idea if he has any new stuff coming out, though. He's a gooood rapper, but his producer/s have a habbit of screwing up his stuff. Or maybe I just haven't heard enough of it yet.

Dangerdoom is good, I've listened to some of their tracks. While their flow may not exactly be great, some of their songs have great beats.

Underground rap seems to be doing better then regular rap to tell you the truth. I've stopped listened to all the famous artists and just listen to any rap, and you'd be surprised how many artists are good and which aren't famous.

Eh, most of the mainstream rap is guys that can't rap as good at the underground guys, but they got better marketing and promotion. There's exceptions, though. I like Three 6, Jeezy and Lil Wayne, then guys make good music.

Danger Doom was cool. I never heard any of MF Doom's stuff besides that, though.

I've never liked Lil Wayne and never will. Mf Doom's CD MM..Food is pretty cool heh as like 4 songs on there that I listen to almost everyday.

"Ho Cakes"
"Deep Fried Frenz"
"Pot Holders"
"Rapp Snitches"

that list isn't even half the peeps I listen to I mostly posted the ones that came right to mind or ones that I'm sure some people have heard of. I got to see Immortal Technique once at a Event.

I forgot people like Dead Prez, The Chapter, Technik, Company Flow,
Blackstar (drolls)

You missed so many real underground rappers it aint funny, mainlly as people said Deltron 3030 or as he's now know as Del the Funky Homosapien.. I like his current name. But yeah, Chaos is sweet. I also dig Necro, Jedi Mind, Sage Frances, and lets not leave out Dialated Peoples. Then their's some bomb djs out there like Mike Relm. And of course old school like NWA, Dead Prez, Public Enemy, Wu Tang...

He done said it was just a list of dudes he thought up off the top of his head. I doubt he really missed anyone. Necro's an ox, but Ill Bill is much better on many many levels.

BTW the only good beat Technique has is 'point of no return'. I like that one quite a bit.. and to a less extent, Peruvian Cocain.

Can't forget the classic "Sofa King."

Styles P and Roots are both good rappers.
