Never run out of these because if you run out of mana, you can no longer heal. Seriously though, you can always email me and send me your saved game and I can get you to the next save point. For some people, it seems like the battles are fairly tough, but beatable. For other people, some of the battles tend to be wicked hard. Moam basically I'm at the part after the ogre and you are at your house, and when you had right, you get swarmed by tons of goblins, then big orange trolls, and when I finally manage to get into town, I get slaughtered by even MORE tough enemies. Am I doing something wrong? I have burn as my spell, 3 mana crystals, the battle axe, and the chest plate. donno what else I can do :s

When you leveled up for your first time, did you improve your magic abilities or attack abilities? Also, if you have a saved game inside your house, check around for a couple extra mana crystals if you haven't yet. The biggest mistake people make is not buying enough mana crystals. The giant axe is definitely a good weapon to start with. Just keep practicing the action battles and you'll eventually get used to it. If you have to, since you aren't far into the game at all, you could always start over and just overdue it with mana crystals.. Let me know if you continue to struggle. I think it gets better as the game progresses. To most, it gets easier because people tend to get used to the battle system after about chapter 3.

I managed to make it to the town and kill everything, but now I'm at the ridiculous cannonball part, and I have no shield. I didn't buy one. And there are no shops, and it's literally impossible to make it through that part without a shield >_>

Dude hold up hold up...read the book right when you enter that area. It says that if you don't have a shield, head south and the dead soldier has one. Grab that and equip it and you can get through the area without taking a single hit, if you block all the cannon balls.
Well that's great. I make it through after getting hit a few times, and I have no mana crystals, then you send us through a fight with this massive thing and its impossible without any health. Now what do I do?

Man, this is probably the hardest game I have ever played.
I got stuck in the squid battle, and after about 10 times I decided to skip it by cheating. However, now I'm stuck in the fight against the dragon...
Both of them are insane (at least for me and my warrior Daron), as they can kill me with a single blow. I once died right when the dragon battle started.
I have enough mana crystals and proper equipment (or I think so), but they're just too tough. Guess I have to cheat again. -_-

The dragon battle? Pure advice right here: it's meant to be nearly impossible... Just avoid the dragon for about 30 seconds and see what happens. And about the squid battle: did you keep turning into a zombie? The first time you are bit it explains what you need to do to become uncursed. Just swing your weapon CONSTANTLY until your character stops flashing. The more you swing your sword, the more you fight off the curse until its gone. Maybe you just die in one hit by the squid? Are you a warrior or wizard? Double check to make sure you have your best equipment. You are most likely a warrior if you die in one hit. Make sure you take out the zombies first so that you don't have to worry about getting bit. Then take bit by bit away from the squid as he comes at you. If you have the "Fury" ability, make sure you use it, so that you do 100% critical hits. Some of these battles can be challenging, but you get better and better at the game as you play, and it gets more and more entertaining. Keep trying dude...also, if you need any extra help, hit me up through email! I respond almost instantly through that.

Yeah, my first post here. first off, I like this game a lot. But I get careless in battles and get killed all over the place, but that's my fault I know. D:

I'd really like to get further w/o having to restart, as I've been doing pretty well this run... so any help? Thx in advance.

I beat the giant dude that stomps around in front of the tent, then the dragon comes down and I run back to the town. I talk to that old guy who's on the verge of dying and after a few dialog boxes it stalls for a bit and then I get a script error message...
