unable to move

When I test my game, why does it not let my character move? Even if it's just on a ground piece? Is it because I used too many autostarts in my game or...

Autostart is meant for cutscenes. It does not allow for player movement.

Once again, you're not using the legal version of RMXP. Buy it. You can copy the maps you have worked on into the legal version.

Fine. Give me a link to the best version of Rpg Maker but make sure it's not too expensive or hard to get. (does it update on the computer? Or do you get a cd in the mail?)
