How do you change the text font???

Like going from "ariel" to "times new roman"

But still, its getting annoying, seeing the same lettering in every RMXP/VX game...

As far as I know, though it's been a while since I've used RMXP, it's:



Font.default_name = "Times New Roman"


This goes in the script called "main".

I'd like to add some more questions to this question. Is there a way to change font size and/or color?

EDIT: And, is there a specific place in MAIN that you're supposed to put that line? Because it's not changing my font at all.

You have to put it before the line

$scene = Scene_Title.new

Unfortunately, this does not cover every portion of the game. If you really want to know about fonts, try searching font in the help file. It is easily one of the most helpful help files I have ever seen.

There's Ultimate Font Override by Blizzard, I'm using it and I believe it covers all font in the game. search for Ccoa's tons of addons.

Yeah, CCOA's Universal Message System allows you to change EVERYTHING about the text. I just need to figure out how. :haha:
