Udesserus' Music.

In my introduction topic I mentioned that I composed music. Almost immediately after, I figured that I would cook something up. For organization's sake I shall just post all my music in one topic.

About me as a composer:
I picked it up about a month ago honestly. I watch a comrade playing with a program called Fruity Loops and from looking at it, the software seemed rather easy to use. I looked up a bit of terminology and skimmed through a brief introductory course relative to Music Theory. I didn't fully understand everything, but what I could grasp I tried to put to good use. Soon after, I noticed that Fruity Loops had no real orchestral sound banks included with the purchase. Went through more web browsing and came across a nifty little program called "Edirol Orchestral," which is what I use to this day. Again, I'm rambling. Let's just get to the music. (For you harsh critics, go gentle on me I'm fairly new at this.)

Tranquility: Volume One
1. Reading His Thoughts (Mysterious Scene?)
2. For Honor (Battle Cutscene)

It certainly is a nice tune. For a battle theme though? Maybe a epic battle cutscene, but I don't see it going with general battles, especially around the 2/3rds where the pace is really slow. Battle themes should have an active beat for the entire duration.

Noted. After listening to it a few times, I came to a similar conclusion. It does sound a bit more like it's building the tension. Perhaps on my next go around I'll get it right.

It doesn't sound like a battle theme, it sounds like a tension theme just before a boss fight commences.  It's pretty good for the most part, though at times something just feels out, I'm no music guy though so I couldn't say what.  But hey, if you've only been making music a month it's good... I couldn't even get my head round fruityloops when I tried for all of 20 minutes.

Update: 12 Nov. 08
Song Added: 1. Reading His Thoughts (Mysterious Scene?)

I'm a bit sketchy as to what I could add to "For Honor." I know there are points in the song where I chose to single out a few instruments. Perhaps these are the parts where it may seem as if something was missing. I am no music major either my friend, so whatever it is may elude both of us.

As for the new song, it's meant to be less full and less epic. I wasn't quite sure where to place it as far as theme categories go, but hopefully I'm somewhere in the ballpark. Your assistance up to this point has been great and I look forward to more.

Again, delete or lock this please, because this is not his music it's stuff I was working on for a project and he posted it to be a smartass. Once more I apologize for this shit...

Edit:
None of the links should work now, because I've delete them from my FTP.
