Hm, I can't think of any of the other hilariously contradictory laws and customs here regarding safety (besides the germ stuff) but there are many. Maybe I will post a topic at some point.
Regarding the topic at hand, I don't understand how it can not be possible to take this through an appeals court. Perhaps it's just that I am hazy on american law but the guy has been punished and at least one judge agrees that it was unjust... shouldn't he be able to continue escalating it? Or is the american legal system worse still than I have been led to believe?
