Poccil’s Multiple Tileset Tutorial – by Celes_CliFF
Introduction:
I’ve seen in quite many forums around the net about people asking how to use multiple tilesets in VX. Many replies said that this is not possible, or that you can, but it’s quite complex to do. This is a step by step tutorial and will cover poccil’s system about how to use multiple tilsets, and show that this system is anything but complex. With this system, you can use your own tilesets from TileA-E for each map, which is more than you’ll ever need.

The files in the package are the ones you’ll need for this tutorial. It contains three tilesets. Rey_J’s 2k3, Macks and busbuzz XP tileset. It also contains the program, a demo, script and a pdf-file of this tutorial.

Set Everything Up
1. Create a new project.
2. Copy and paste the script in TileMapRuntime.txt to the materials section in the Script Editor.
3. Copy and paste TilesetEditor.exe and TilesetEditor.ini to your root game folder.
4. Copy and paste TilesetEditor.rvdata in Data folder to the Data folder in your project.
5. Copy and paste the pictures that’s in the Picture folder to the Pictures folder in your project.
6. And last, but not least, copy the Tilesets folder to the Graphics folder in your project.
Now you got everything setup. Let’s go to the next section.

First, I want you to make three empty maps in RMVX editor. Name them Map 2k3, Map Mack and
Map XP.
Save your project.
