aww haha he's cute! What this might be cool for is instead of like a status effect with frog and you could maybe do a slowing one with it, when your character turns into one. :D His skin the green part is a little bit saturated I think. And his shell could use more contrast so you can make out the pattern more. The front view and back view on the shell seems odd to me since it's more dots than like the pattern. Might want to adjust that. He's a cutey!

(Okay, the two-word comments are nice for motivation guys, but let's try to be a bit more constructive when posting in Analysis).

This is a nice idea, Tindy. =) Now that I think of it, I'm surprised there was never a turtle in the RTP.

Like Raven has said, though, some more contrast on the shell would really help. Atm, the colors are too close together in terms of shade. You may want to try using a darker shade of brown to bring out the pattern a bit more, and then add a touch of highlight to give it that extra shine.
