Trying my hand at inking.

Mr.X or Exs. A character I once doodled out of nowhere who just stuck with me. I finnally got up of my ass and coloured him. It may just be flats, but this is the first thing I've succesfully coloured. Was originaly drawn with a regular HB pencil and inked with a 0.3mil pen. The black and white version I plan to use in a comic that will only have slight appearances of colour, once I can get my drawing skills up enough to pose him and such. I have more front view expressions of him drawn, aswell as a side view. Comments appreciated.

I'll post more inkings, sketched etc. as I do them.

Um.. Not really much I can say but good work. I wonder, is this character of yours supposed to be the tip of an ink pen?

I hadn't originally planned for that to have based his head shape on that it jsut sort of developed, but my friends and myself do actually now recognize his head to be this, or something similar. His head will play part in a strip I have planned, but it doesn't have anything to do with ink.

My first comic with this little chap. Sort of used it as and introduction to what the comic will look like, I don't yet plan to add much scenery to the strips unless it is complusary. I'll get more done as soon as I figure out how to turn this chap 'Mr.X' into a chick(I'm having difficulties converting the design into a female body), but stay with me, comments welcome. His name like I said is Mr.X or Exs. His colours would originally be yellow for body parts and brown on the clothing. He's a robotic species, I'll add some character info artwork soon with serveral poses, expressions and explanations to do with his body parts. This is my first comic and I'm fairly new to cartoon like drawing and inking, and currently find it hard to do cartoon anatomy, but I'm learning. Hope you like it though, I've got some scripts worked out for a few more strips already.

I can't help notice the similarity to Cyanide & Happiness with the theme of the comic, good show! :D
As for the last frame, why does part of the sky disappear in place of the speech bubble? :P

Thanks $t3v0, as for the sky I fucked up on the layers :P. I'm kind of glad the comic reminds you of Cyanide and Happiness, that and Ctrl Alt Del are my biggest inspirations. I'm planning to do some horizontally half-split frames in the next comic. I'm pretty much doodling this guy in English class everyday so I'm improving a little bit each time. I managed to get the female correct today :D I'll have more soon
