How the world was created according to the legens (from real norse mythology):
Source: http://ancienthistory.about.com/od/crea ... 9Norse.htm

Originally there was a chasm, Ginnungagap, bounded on either side by fire (from the world known as Muspelheim) and ice (from the world known as Niflheim). When fire and ice met, they combined to form a giant, named Ymir, and a cow, named Audhumbla (Auðhumla), who nourished Ymir. She survived by licking the salty ice blocks. From her licking emerged Bur (Búri), the grandfather of the Aesir. Ymir, father of the frost giants, employed equally unusual procreative techniques. He sweated a male and a female from under his left arm.

Odin, the son of Bur's son Borr, killed Ymir. The blood pouring out of the giant's body killed all the frost giants Ymir had created, except Bergelmir. From Ymir's dead body, Odin created the world. Ymir's blood was the sea; his flesh, the earth; his skull, the sky; his bones, the mountains; his hair, the trees. The new Ymir-based world was Midgard. Ymir's eyebrow was used to fence in the area where mankind would live. Around Midgard was an ocean where a serpent named Jormungand lived. He was big enough to form a ring around Midgard by putting his tail in his mouth.

From Ymir's body grew an ash tree named Yggdrasil, whose branches covered the known world and supported the universe. Yggdrasil had three roots going to each of the 3 levels of the world. Three springs supplied it with water. One root went into Asgard, the home of the gods, another went into the land of the giants, Jotunheim, and a third went to that primeval world of ice, darkness, and the dead, known as Nifelheim. In Jotunheim's spring, Mimir, lay wisdom. In Niflheim, the spring nourished the adder dragon Nidhogg who gnawed at the roots of Yggdrasil.

I think you could always work on your presentation.
Just watching the video, the transitions are too abrupt. Sad music, then cheery music for a few seconds, then sad music again. Even moving from one area to another, so much changes in only a few steps. An over-world or world map might be more effective.
Is the compass necessary? North is always going to be up, right?

It occurred to me that you know what you want the characters to say, but you don't know how to say it.

GRIMM: Oh hello dear! Glad that you're still alive!! Something must have happened here...

ARI: Oh! I'm so glad to see you my dear!! You have any idea what could've happened!?

With dead people around, you wouldn't greet someone in such a casual way. And somehow "glad that you're still alive" sounds a little sarcastic. You want them to sound scared and confused.

GRIMM: Ari! I was afraid you might be dead. I don't know what's going on.

ARI: Oh Grimm. Are you alright? How could this have happened?

Thank you you're absolutely right! I'll look over my intro.

What do you mean by too big steps in the beginning?
Sometimes, I just ain't that good in HOW to tell stories. This was the issue with the first TSK too. It's not a bad story, but I amn't the best story TELLER

What could I do to change that? Yeah North is Always up so I could delete the image ofc.
Is this really that bad, because I get like no comments:(

I meant it doesn't flow.

The player selects a new game.
Dead bodies. A prayer to Yggdrasil. Suddenly, happy music.
Ari steps outside and it snaps back to dead bodies and sad music we started with.
Exit left, the white snow and bodies are replaced with dark brown and a child jump roping.
You're giving the player whiplash.

Hmm okay?

I can change the music. whats wrong with the woods now? The chld will have jump rope. That desnt have to do with anything

Its not the girl. Its the way the screen changes. There's no sense of distance or time between screens.
Have they walked far? Or did they just step outside the town. Where did the snow go?

Use a regular fade for short changes. Fade to black for more time or a different location and marking the end of a scene. Its a visual language that's saying "meanwhile elsewhere" or "later that day".
It feels like you're jerking the player around because you faded to black after Grimm found his mom, but then you go right back to that moment with Ari. Then you go from a snowy-death scene to everything's-normal-over-here scene in no time at all. Do you see what I'm talking about?

Yes I see what you mean. Yet everyone uses a snow like landscape Close to a totally different Place. Its been used dozens of times. They have just left the Town, what do you Think happens when you walk the road out of the Town? Easy as that. It's not later the same day or anything like that.

Why cant I black fade when going to Aris house?

Why cant I have a non-snow area next to a snow area. I see what you mean, yet a non-snow area has been used dozen times near a snow area as I said. If there only were a tileset with less snow I could use it in between the Woods and the Town, now, it's not that easy and I am no good in drawing own tilesets. I dont use the fade when transferring between maps. Maybe I should?

You shouldn't fade to black because you're not going to a different scene. You're still in town. It would flow better if you use a normal fade for the tree cutaway, then go directly to Ari outside her house so its all one sequence.
Being inside the house seems like an unnecessary interruption.

With the snow it's a matter of constancy. How about a bridge exit? Or stairs? The change of scenery would be more acceptable if you crossed water or changed elevation. Or keep the maps seamless. You know, half a tree on one side, the other half on the other. So the player has some bearing on where they are. A little road isn't enough in my opinion because everything else has changed.
Oracle of Season map (winter)
The weather change in Oracle of Season was part of the gameplay. But even going from snow to a beach, the trees and edges were consistence.

Wow never thought of that. Well I will absolutely do my best:)

But I am worried if this is Worth working on at all since I got no comments but you.

Problem is, it might not be my best story (I have the most of it written) but I do write quite well its just that I have a hard time expressing them and getting everyone to understand and to write it ina good way. I have good imagination and ideas, but it's quite tricky Writing, especially for a game. A novel is Another thing ofc.

Well thank you so much

I now see that this isn't too interesting, to you people, but as with the first game I am ofcourse willing to do Eeerything to improve this one.

The story may not be the most unique, but I've Always loved norse mythology and that's why i am Writing (I wrote) a story about it.

For you information, I am doing my best to try out new ways to make the game interesting, like special menu systems or battle systems. I am actually thining of changing the entire battle system to anything completely different.

So please help me, what do you Think I can do to make a good game out of this? Is it a good base or is it not Worth a shot?
