Title Screen - Good or bad? Your Opinion please

Lens Flare = Photoshop Noob. seriously, Never use lens flares unless you REALLY need to. A good lens flare can be used efficiently, while your's is just there, it does not cope with any other lighting elements. And as many others have said, if you're fan making a FF game, you need to really research into the theme.

PS: Nice Bahamut, but lose the flame

ok maybe i forget to say that bahamut was my first pic with my computer, and so
the first title was the third or fourth. i added the "lens flare" because i thought it was
a nice effect, i am not a pro in using gimp etc. xD

Let me dot some things down for you

1. While I understand you want your own style, you're still making a Final Fantasy game, which means you need to go with Final Fantasy's style. If you don't like Final Fantasy's style, make an original game.

2. The spacing between "Final", "Fantasy", and "UU" is too wide.

3. You don't need japanese text. Your game is not being made in Japan nor are you Japanese. Really, there's no point. It doesn't look cool and all it will do is piss people off.

4. "UU" is a pretty bad name. If you really can't think of a good number, just give it a subtitle, like some Final Fantasies have.

Nothing else to say. It looks like a alright title screen, but it doesn't look at all like a Final Fantasy title screen.

Spacing - fair enough, its pretty poor.

Japanese text, even if it is out of place, will never "piss me off". I actually think it looks good and an aesthetically pleasing end result is what Zareth is aiming for.

NB. I think Final Fantasy fans can get overly zealous in relation to the franchise in question - at the end of the day this is just a fan game, so keep your panties on girls.

Okay, so first you call me anally retentive and then you continue to agree with my points? Japanese text, it's out of place but it looks good. That's like saying "Hey that bright pink wall in the police station looks good". It looks good, but not here. It is out of place.

As for your final statement, I don't get it. First you say fans can get over zealous, and yet right after that you say this is just a fan game. A fan game is being made to continue on with a popular series and please the fans. Therefore, while making a fangame, you will stick to the basic roots the original creator of the franchise has established.

Yeah a pretty weak reply really. Think things through before you open your mouth.

If you actually read what I said you'll realise that I'm not saying the Japanese writing is out of place in this case but even if it were, it wouldn't "piss me off". Furthermore your analogy is just awful.

And the point I was trying to make was if you're a fan of a popular series you're hardly going to expect that much from a fan-made version.

You see I'm generally a nice guy and I don't like to burn people down and instead do my best to help people improve on their work, but internet trolls like you just piss me off.

Fans are going to expect more of a fan-made version, they expect it to live up to the originals. And this doesn't.

I'm not even going to reply to your final statement; it's pathetic and I think it clearly shows who the immature person here is.

Also, I only just now noticed the new title screens the OP posted. Keep the white one, and you're set. It goes perfectly with the traditional FF style. Just get rid of the japanese text.

first i got rid of the japanese text, but a few friends said, it looks much more real
if there is the japanese text, so i made the japanese text, oly smaller than before.
the second point is, it is really a fan game. i use final fantasy music
and till now 10 characters. but everything else, the world, the bosses, etc. is made by me and a
few other people. the story is a little bit like the old final fantasy games, because of crystals you have
to protect/save, but only a little bit. the backgrounds of the characters is not like the backgrounds in other
final fantasy games. for example zidane does not know garnet or live with her in alexandria.
