Title screen C&C plz!

Get rid of the glittery text, for starters. It's a bit tough to read at first glance and isn't nice to the eyes, the green especially. If you want nice, simple text effects, then try applying a subtle gradient. What program did you use to make this?

The text looks quite good now but I think you should work over the edges of these character images--espeacially the knight with helmet. These few white dots and pixels are disrupting the overall impression.

But all in all I would say 6/10
(because the style of the background image (a photo, isn't it?) doesn't really fit to the two characters. The contrast between the water and the character's capes is quite big, I suppose)

That one is Helluva better than first one, but why character's images have edge cracked?
They should be more smoother or they look terrible. background and image didn't match.
and here's one more problem, background seems to be very high-qualitied image
(maybe high qualitied JPG or PNGs)
but characters looked avrage / shoddy qualitied. because they have difference in quality,
it didn't match. try to get high qualitied characters next time if that characters are not neccessary.
and Texts improved a lot, but they still didn't looks that cool.
and more effects and give textures.

This one is mine :

I didn't have characters, I just have texts.
texts have lots of effects and it have its own texture.
(actually this one is not cool one too. but I think this should help you to make better one)

I am very bad in making this kinda things so this is quite good fer me...........
that you dont like it doesnt mean i didn't spend a big time on it......
and on the dutch forum they like the sparkly one over the 2nd one, beacause the sparkly one looks imbedded to the semi black under layer

I would agree with DJ. I'd find better quality characters, maybe even use a blur filter and up the contrast on them... but before you do that, may I ask what graphic editing program you are using?

Aside from that, the text is awful... I don't mean that in an offensive manner, but it clashes with the overall look and the first one with the glitter almost hurts my eyes to look at. Try making the text crisp and easy to read. If you want to add text effects, that is fine, but for the actual fill itself, I'd suggest not overdoing it... probably wouldn't suggest anything other than a gradient or one color oriented texture.

Honestly, it's ugly as heck.  As said before, the characters and the realistic photo do not match in style AT ALL.  The text is  an ugly color, and doesn't blend at all, even without that glitter crap.

Look at DJ's, everything matches in style.  You should keep this in mind with all types of art, everything needs to be of a similar style and flow together nicely, otherwise it hurts the eyes.  It's okay if this is your first try, but I hope you are taking everyone's comments to heart, so you can make your title screen better.

that's the program i use,
but still, im very bad at making title screens....
In my opnion, I think Photoshop is way better than another programs in making logo.
I know it is hard to get it because it is not free one, but you should get one.
I have CS2(9.0) and CS3(10.0) and I got it all-free.
maybe you can find some cracks on internet sites.

anyway, No one can do good on first. Keeping up and improving skill is the best way.
