Timed Dialogue

Just wondering how to make timed dialogue for cut scenes and the like, meaning:  'Man1' says some stuff and then waits about 3 or 4 seconds so the player can read, closes that text box and opens the follow up text box from the person he is talking to.  I'm fairly decent at eventing and for the life of me could not figure out something I thought would be very simple!  Perhaps I'm overlooking something very obvious?

EDIT:  Realized I needed to be a little more specific!

Timed dialogue?  You  mean like pauses?  Just right click "Text:" when making a text box and there are two commands, one that waits 1/4 second, and another that waits 1 second.

Bah, I just edited my post realizing that some people might think EXACTLY what you said!  That little tip helps, though!  Didn't know that.  Thanks!

EDIT:  Okay, well apparently there are more commands; \^ in conjunction with \| or \. can achieve what I'm aiming for I think.  Little tedious but fortunately such scenes will probably be minimal.

Thanks a bunch by the way!
