A good while ago I came here as another alias. I was young at the time, inexperienced in the world, and honestly choose a bad time to get into an amazing hobby. Well, time passes and eventually we dig up things we wouldn't expect to find. For me it was my old RPG Maker XP files while I was cleaning up a junk drive from my last computer. As such I was honestly surprised and I decided I'd get into a bit more. But I'm also kind of surprised to see this site the way it is. I see a lot of things that makes me wonder what happened here. Perhaps I have browsed enough but I hope this place isn't completely taken over by forum trolls and spammers. Well at least in my opinion. I used to remember this place as a nice area. I hope my memories stay true. In either case hello everyone for the first time in a long time.

And I still seem to make silly typos.

Anyway welcome back to .org. The general atmosphere of this place has changed quite a bit, but I don't see it as very trollish or spammish. It's just a shift, and we're trying to encourage more constructive criticism and comments here. Unfortunately, not everyone likes that kind of stuff. It'll get better, just that a lot's happened and there are (hopefully) going to be some big changes soon. The site's leadership has changed quite a bit too.

Ccoa left a long time ago, before I got here.

Despain used to be a decent staff member, but recently he started doing a lot of trolling and spamming. He actually left about a couple days ago, it's been the talk of the site.

despain recently left. a lot of his posts are meant to be ironic or sarcastic, and back in his prime he was probably one of the best admins .org had, even if recently his actions weren't so photogenic. things hit a rough patch, though, and due to a personal disaster I don't think he's going to be coming back.

after the administration change a year ago ccoa elected to leave .org. she welcome to return, although she doesn't seem to think so.

I'll get on that, the format of the website has changed a good deal since my last time here. I'd like to call myself a Database manager, lite mapper, and beginning eventer. Oh, and I guess if it counts a frankenspriter.

Sounds like a good deal of drama. I guess it's a good thing I left about two years ago. And as sorry I am to hear my favorite mod of the past is gone, I'm going to hopefully keep in good status. Oh, and since I have your attention for this moment, is the 500 pixel signature rule still in effect?

I'm not sure of the pixel limit exactly, but yeah, we tend to discourage excessively large signatures. for a baseline, I'd say mine is probably around the outer limit for size.

even then miek, I'd say it's kind of too tall (but I always like your sigs and they're not obnoxious so you're ok). I don't care how WIDE your sig is, I just loathe tallness.
