Tilesets coming along nicely

It looks very simple, but, then again, most things do when they're just getting started. It would be lovely to see some decorative elements you're thinking of adding to make the structure less plain.

Now, for the criticism ... I think the door is too tall. If your game takes place in a world that doesn't have electricity, the shop would lose too much heat through such a large doorway - especially since this is a shop, a place that people go in and out of a lot. So, you would probably be more likely to find a smaller door; perhaps even one that taller customers have to stoop to enter through.

The door itself, though, would be perfect for a large structure of some kind, like a castle.

Keep working on it!

Thanks, erm yes ill make the door less destinctive. Im going to add some barrels and boxes outside but that will be an add on.

A very good start Fate. The lining looks pretty much perfect, could do with a few tweaks here and there though. Although one thing i dislike is the wooden beams on the roof around the edge. Change that to stone beams and will improve it. Good luck with the shading :P

Rather than shrinking the door simply put a window in the arch and use double doors. that way you can keep the look.

Looks nice for a first time job. Now what i suggest is defining the walls abit if your going for a wooden look make it more wood look, or a brick look, log cabin look, but it's mainly up to you these are just a few suggestions. Other than these little tips keep going.

In some games, if it's done right, I love not-detailed maps. That makes a game different than other games.
