Hello, I'm Flamekraiken, AKA Zachary.

I just wanted to say how much I HATE handcuffs.
First and hopefully last time a cop slapped em on me today.

They were so uncomfortable, if the room they put me in didnt have a cop right across from me, I would have done behind the back-under the legs-and up to get my hands out from behind my back so I could sit normally. If that made sense.


So in geometry, I'm writing, for my story.
And someone- not naming names (coughjustindooleycough)- turned around and made a wise crack- "Writin' a hit list, zach?" so knowing me, I had to turn to my Hamlet notes with all the names in it and say "Yup, check it out"

Then I SAID aloud it was my movie notes, but someone heard part one and not part two.

So I got cuffs slapped on me by two officers with glock .45s and taken out of my film and literature class in front of God and everybody.

I'm not in trouble as it was a misunderstanding, but I have to say--
For someone who rarely screws up, but when he does its pretty bad,

Handcuffs are freaking scary.

I never want something like that to happen again, but I cant give up being a smart mouth.

totally not a symposium topic... Serious discussion, serious! Like, 'why are we here', and 'your stance on the abortion issue', not 'let's share stories'. Which also I'm going to just say this thread is now 'getting arrested stories time', because that makes it a bit more broad. Though I remember that topic existing before... whatever, not important.

Never been in handcuffs myself, mainly because as a kid, I was great at hiding, and as a teenager, I never did anything bad in a place I might get caught, and considering I developed paranoia around age 13, I never thought any place was 'safe' to do something bad in. Suffice it to say, I'll bend the rules, but I'll hardly ever break them.

I try to share a story and my opinion on something that scared me and all I do is get flamed and treated like crap.

If being scared of getting cuffed and arrested makes me a "fucking pussy"

Flame, if you post something like this, then you should know that you are going to get a variety of opinions, more than just "poor baby!" or "Omg, I tottally agree!!"

Kinda sad that they jumped the gun on you, but you have to be careful now in today's society since there have been so many shootings. :\
About the handcuffs however, I remember when I was younger, me and my friend would time how long we could get out of them if we had the key. XD I haven't had any bad experiances, so I guess I'm not too afraid of them.

You shouldn't judge someone, especially some stranger on the internet you don't know, for being afraid of being arrested. I assure you, that's the most normal reaction there is out there when it comes to that situation. You don't seem 'badass' by making any of those comments, you just seem very immature.

To Flame, yikes! That must have been a scary situation... it's amazing how paranoid we are these days! I'm so sorry you had to go through that, but at the same time, with all the shootings and deranged people out there, I can see why someone might have reported that in, had they not heard the second part. Here's a virtual hug to make you feel better! *hug* :D

I guess the lesson I hope you picked up was that, even in jest, you have to be careful about what you say in a public school, or any public place for that matter. Often times, a private conversation is not as private as you think.

Agreed coloratura. I'd be scared too if I live in the US and get arrested by all the paranoic cops around kicking everyone's butts for no particular reason.

I myself have been arrested, but I can't say the "bracelet" bugged me enough, but it is unconfortable... mainly if you did nothing...

Lackluster, if I was ACTUALLY arrested, I would be scared shitless. So what if you don't find these things scary, it's no use calling someone a pansy or a fruit because of it. Most people are really scared the first time they are arrested, and maybe you weren't. But that does not mean you have the right to insult them because of it.

I dunno 'bout you, but for me, having .45's pointed at me and handcuffs slapped on my wrists would be a pretty scary experience.

I mean, if it is like you said, then someone heard you, and then told the police, and then they just barge in a class, and pull you out or it with guns and everything and you have no clue why...

Yeah that would scare the heck outta me!

I think it would to anybody who hasnt experienced it multiple times (or isnt drunk)

Especially during school when everyone is watching...

I've been having to tell everyone what happened and make jokes about it from people thinking badly of me for it.
I dont want a repeat of other crap I've gone through.

Maybe I'm a fruit, and a pansy. Hell, i'm definitely a pansy.

But at least I have the sensitivity enough to care about situations like this.

And, I never said they pointed .45s at me, they just had them and walked in making it seem very obvious they were armed.
Still scary all the same though.

A lot of people laughed at me because of it..

Oh, and @ the romeo and juliet things-

Dont say that, its not funny. Because I would actually say something like that and get my butt in even bigger trouble.

To be truthful, Flame, when you think back on it later on in your life, you're probably going to laugh. It is funny in retrospect, but at the time I can understand it wasn't funny.

Right now I'm just a little shaken.

I dont know whether to switch back to public school where they sit down and talk to you instead of taking you out in handcuffs or stay at this alternative school where they pocket search you a few times a week.

While pocket searches and the likes of are annoying, they are there for a reason... My friend got stabbed in the face with a carpet knife, never would have happened with pocket searches. Well, you get what I mean.

Don't let a thing like this decide what school to go to, decide that on what the school itself does. Like... do the teachers teach well, do you learn stuff in lessons, etc.
