Think these lightsabers are good?

OK... first thing you have to remember about lightsabers is that they don't have a solid glow.
It's a white blade with a colored glow coming off of it.
Second, the handles are FAR too gradient-shaded. The light should also be coming from a lightsource and not just the blade.
Third, NEVER use pure black.
Fourth, like you said, they're far too sharp. Just move the top pixel down one and you should be fine.
Fifth, please don't use pure colors... they really get annoying and overpower anything else, which icons should definitely not be doing. (pure colors, i.e. (0,0,255) or (0,255,0) or (255,0,0))

Colors are still completeley inverted, the lighter colors are supposed to be on the inside and the darker on the outside, not to mention scince its a "Beam of Light" the colors can't be dark.

Edit: and its a beam so the shape of the beam has to be the same shape as the slit in the handle the energy is coming from.

Though true, the "stronger" or "more concentrated energy" is in the center, where as the ousides would be transparent, that is what everyone here is designing it as if it were.

Edit: and its a beam so the shape of the beam has to be the same shape as the slit in the handle the energy is coming from.

I've also done this lol. brought it in a pixel making it so that the handle actually has substance rather than being paper thin lol.

If they are icons, would a better idea not be to just have the handle, with either the crystal (which is what causes the color) or an orb / something to represent the color next to it?
