The Urges of a Strawberry

Hello, hello!

I was reminiscing on days long past.

On guild nights, and how much fun I would have on WoW with the girls - talking with them on Ventrillo! Or when I used to play FFXI and had fun Skype calls with my friends doing things together.

Then it occurred to me.

I want an online game to play, to re-experience the joys of the past.

I have all consoles and Netbook. But here's the catch, these consoles all belong to my ex (I can use them, but like when I move, they won't be "mine" anymore). Surprisingly enough, there are games that can run on my laptop.

What I want are suggestions. Preferably free games, though - I am broke and sucky. XD

They can be from really really really really cheap indie games off of Steam or free MMORPGS. XD

Thanks!

Jason

Awesome Bro

Play Runescape! :D

... Or wait for Guild Wars 2 and see if your netbook will be able to run it, since it's going to be amazing :D (Although you DO have to pay for it... but there's no monthly fees)

...... Or play Maplestory, I used to play it a while back and had tons of fun with it, I might get it again to check out how it's changed in the last 2 years or however long it's been

Unfortunately, League of Legends does not run on my computer (I tried and it lagged like hell).

And Jay-Jay... Could you stay on topic and help a little Strawberry out? :P

EDIT:

Oh wait, you did. XD Didn't read your post. LOL.

That would be fun, if a bunch of us could get together on a game and play together. ^___^

I think I'd have to buy Guild Wars, however in order to actually play it. I'm not sure, though. D=

Im currently playing eden eternal... the game mechanics are pretty interesting and really original... it should run well on your computer as long as long as it has more than 1 gb of ram and not 9 years old.

I recommend Guild Wars (Prophecies has the best storyline, Factions is a better play, Nightfall a good conclusion; didn't get through EotN, the magic had worn off) if you have like, all of $5 to splash out on it.

RuneScape's good up to a point, not much for free players, the paid game is great if you like that kind of game and can sustain you for years if you like that kind of game.

Well, I hardly doubt this computer could run GW2. XD

And zchin, I did want to try Eden Eternal again. It ran decently on this computer. I might download it and give it shot. >>

As for Guild Wars - it seems to be the best bet so far. Hmmm..

Thanks everyone!

More suggestions are welcome, of course. ^__^

Tithe thing about gw2 is that it is 50$ and idt everyone could run it. I started gw but ultimately quit fairly early on mainly because I didn't know what I was doing and I wasn't playing with people. Like I said above this is a really cute idea. Monday night mmo ftw!
We could also play wow but I've tried playing it and it lost its magic rather quickly.
Starwars mmo (idk what it's called) became ftp but you still gotta buy the disc

Yeah but you should be able to find it in a bargain bin I reckon. I bought it a month after it came out for £10 and that was the special edition.

Hi, I have moved this to video game discussion as it is actually a decent and related thread.

Quick note, don't buy GW used. It won't work.

Cheapest I've found is Factions $11 on Amazon.
