@Hevendor: The one thing I really like about this map is the name in the corner. When I saw that I was already hooked. Hahaha but that is a nice map, a little to symmetrical for me but I like it none the less.

Points taken, but I still love that map. This is why I dont analyze mapping so much when I game..

I liked the first one too..but like this one as well. Cept the square area on the ground looks out of place.. (The designed tiles)
 
Freyr, I really like that map! I would be even better if had a reason though...maybe a flying continent that has spouts of water that flow down to the surface?

Thanks. It shows the mission name too, and whether you've completed it or not (changes color). I messed around with the lighting effects for God knows how long until I got something that looked decent. I quite like that level though. :)

Very nice Freyr, It like the mood, but I agree about the square tiles...
MegatronX: as always, very veyr nice, I wonder how does it look in movement.
Here are 2 new screenshots from my game, I'm already working on lv4, there will be 8 levels in total, so I'm almost halfway finished...

As I've said before, I'm using my own RTP edits, it doesn0t look completely original, but at least makes it look a bit less generic.
I still have to add some enemies in the 2nd screenshot, I just started working on that level.

That's actually a great idea! :thumb: Can I use it?

@craybest: I love those screens, especially the first one. Reminds me of the Castle part of RE4.. Well, maybe not. Still awesome.
 
Uhh sure...but it's not really an original idea...There are tonnes of games with flying continents that have spouts of water that flow down to the surface.
EG:(It's a city, but meh.)

@Cray: You have some damn fine mapping skills its just that damn HUD really really turns me off. [[Non sexual way]] but yeah in the first screen you're door on the left is kinda hanging above the ground and I don't think you should have those two pots next to each other. Seems kinda odd. Other than that ace stuff you have here. But at least smooth out the hud that way its not all jaggy. :p
 
there isn't a way to fix that, unless I edit the door (which isn't too hard, but it really doesn't bother me at all XD) maybe I'll edit it later, or if it bugs too many people, about the HUD if it's just the fact that it looks pixelated, I can fix that (or redo it with antialiasing, when I first did it I forgot RMXP could handle alpha values) maybe you think there are too many pots, but it's part of the battlesystem, you can break all the pots around and get some items, that's why there lots of them, because the game would be too dificult without them. (btw the max item number is 10)
I've never played RE4, so I really don't know how the castle part is, but I'll take it as a compliment haha. and thanx for the mapping comment Makasu.

Yeah thats the problem. It seems fine, but as Cray already pointed out the pixelated look is what makes it look not so attractive. But I mean thats just my opinion like I've stated before. But yeah I see what you're saying Cray. I guess then the pots are okay. I never said there were to many. I just didn't like the fact there were two broken ones right besides each other. Seems a little I don't know what word I'm looking for...Out of place. :p either way no problem on the map comment.

@Hevendor: Lovely mapping too. Still like the name in the corner thing the most. Hahaha its just something about the way it looks and the color of it that speaks to me most. But also your ceiling is connected with your paths. :| not sure if you were going for that or not.

Thanks! It was a bit hard to get the tone of the screen and the lighting effects right, but I think it does look rather good myself :)

If you mean the bridge, yes it's supposed to go over the roof. It's the roof of a small cave inside the Citadel.
