Hmm, I don't know what you did to the RTP to tone it done like that, but I really like it. I haven't read through the thread yet, and I'll probably get around to it piece by piece. :P

Looks good. Small detail, but I like how you had the Grumpy Old man in your screenshot talk "like a grumpy old man" too many games are flat and have no personality in there NPCs or their heros. I will keep an eye on this and I look forward to seeing more! *adds thread as a subscription*

personally, I think you need more confidence in yourself. The fact that you have this laid out like you do tells me you know what you are doing. While I don't personally like RTP files, it looks like you pulled it off nicely. Just don't give up because of a few bad comments. Every good game always has a ney-sayer in the crowd (there are still people to this day that don't like mario!)

Go ahead and finish this one.

Story sounds well constructed and the screenshots look very nice, especially with what screentone you're using. It is very good that you are not using the arial font, because your font looks a lot better, and arial is getting annoying. Good luck with this.

@SamusK: I know what you mean. I'm going to get this one finished no matter what anyone says. I have a huge bundle of motivation that I hope is going to last me enough time to bang out the planned ten hours of game play.

This looks like a really cool game, you seem to be quite capable of a fun RPG. I have faith that you can finish it. I'll look forward to a demo.
Oh, and, like the others, I think the screen tone gives a really good effect. It's cool.

This would be one of the few games that I would play!
The story is nice I would give a 7 ,0-10, because its kind of original, and the grphics looks nothing like RTP. Good Luck!

I will be releasing the V.01 demo on Monday or possibly on Tuesday, depends on my access to the internet.

The demo will be about an hour long with cut scenes. There will be two versions of the demo, one which is the straight forward demo, the other will contain bonus material. Bonus material will be a flash based run-through of the game with a slide presentation and some inside information. Just a little something extra for people who want to download an extra 5 MB or so.

Also, J-street, it's called Screen Tint. A little grey and a little color balance really makes a huge difference in the overall look.

I agree its desaturated, though I'm pretty sure the whole of the rtp is already done by someone, though I can't remember who. I'm thinking Despain though I'm not positive.

It is all a screen tint change, hehe. The demo might be delayed until Wednesday because I decided to be social this spring break and chill with some friends.

You've got something good going on here. A decent presentation. The screens are nice. There's something that makes it different from the other projects I've seen. Could be the tint...I'll have to check again later.

About the story, doesn't really catch my eye. Then again, I'm pretty much half-asleep rite now. I'll skim through it again when I get the chance. Keep it up. I'm interested to see how this one grows.
