Perhaps, after Fusion, they could have Samus escaping from the federation? Blowing up a space research center and an entire planet unauthorized is bound to get you in trouble. She's essentially a fugative.

When SA-X jumped in to help her fight the Omega Metroid, she got access to her Chozo abilities as well as the Galactic Federation abilities.

yeah, she went RAWR SUPR SAIYAN. atleast, that's what i call any game that uses this terrible "die then ZOMG DEUS EX MACHINA that powers you up to fight the last boss" plot device that almost every japanse writer loves to use.

and the omega metroid looks like a dinosaur thing to me. cut someone who hasn't played the game in 4 years some slack, alright?

I already stated before, that Samus is already considered an outlaw and that they could continue the story progression from there or even combine it with Hunters.

Prexus is right there, it was like 15 minutes to get to your ship, the classic trait of almost every metroid game, the classic escape to your ship sequence timer.

I don't have my copy of Fusion any more(I know, I suck), but I was pretty sure that Samus set it on it's doomsday course. And even if she only sent it to Zebes, and not the explosion, Zebes was probably a very important planet to the feddies, I mean, tonnes of space pirate experimants and technology to excavate? I'm sure there'd be something of value to be found there. Either way, outlaw is still an option, so I don't mind.

Anyway, onto another topic about Metroid, Samus is easily the greatest female videogame character ever(although I have allegiances with The Boss and KOS-MOS, I'd still have to give it to Samus...). No more maiden that needs saving, she kicked ass! And only at the end of the game did she ever show a skimpy outfit(which was just enough IMO, it gives a sense sexual beauty while still retaining taste). Despite giving off little emotion, she's one of the deeper videogame characters, and one of the coolest. Easily outdoing most of her male counterparts.

And part of Zebes, not an Aurora at all. Why Mother Brain became an Aurora isn't really specified anywhere. It likely had something to do with Phaaze and why the Chozo no longer exist, and why Mother Brain has such high knowledge of Phaaze and Phazon.

Look closely, and remember what that now all famous room looks like in Metroid and in Super Metroid where you fight the Mother Brain. Listen to how the Aurora Unit that is speaking says that "thousands have been built", and that they "are given male and female personas". This is almost guaranteed that Mother Brain was an Aurora unit before it became the Mother Brain.

I've never had an interest in watching the shows, I doubt they are very good, and sorta look creepy to me. I mean Mother Brain there looks like a cross dressing man in a collar flower suit...

Whoa that's just weird o_O

One thing that I've wanted to do for a long time in the series was go to the Pirate Homeworld, or their base of operations. MP1 kinda brought you a taste of it, but the actual planet where they plot and scheme was just awesome. Plus guarding those Federation Troopers while fighting beside them made me turn off the power and play that part again :D

Space Pirates don't have a home world, as far as I know. Pirates rarely do. Likelihood is that they just cruise around the galaxy gobbling up resources and monies.

The GF obviiously has no style, they can't come up with a better name for the Pirate Homeworld, besides just that. I mean even the metroid home world had a unique name, hell even the Phazon planet had one, it was called Phaaze though, think they got lazy in development obviously.
