Okay, well since obviously my last project was a big disappointment, I've decided to make a new one.
Story's in the process of being made, but here's the basic plot to it:
The time period that this game takes place in is the year 2359 AD. Basically, you're a new recruit brought out fresh from training. You are immediatly put into a battalion of Mecha Fighters (That's tanks, Mecha, and just regular infantry men.). It still has the rank system, meaning that you work your way from Private all the way to General. (The demo only allows you to go up to First Sergeant.)
Anyhoo, you and your battalion are the same; when you get missions, they get the same mission as well. You go on those missions to gain EXP, when you get enough you go up a rank. Each rank has special things tied to them. For example, when you turn Corporal, you get command of a fireteam. When you go Sergeant, you get command of a squad. When you turn First Sergeant, you get command of a platoon, and so on.
EDIT: The game is the first of a series I'm putting together.
STYLE OF BATTLES:
Tactical- The main part of the battles. You can command units on the battlefield.
Free form- Half of the game will be like this. You basically only control your character and no one else.
THINGS YOU CAN COMMAND:
Mecha, Tanks, and standard Infantrymen. Each has it's very own unique style of fighting.
RPG?
No. It will be at some parts, but it's mostly strategy and action.
Characters (In order of appearance):
General Jack Mortars
Age: 57
Weapon: Class-5 Handgun
Biography:
A mainstay of the Mecha Wars, General Mortars was assigned to protect a huge investment that the Mecha Rebels (As they are called in the game.) target.
Mortars, during his career as a soldier, is a great strategist, and he views every situation as "understandable". No, he's not the main character, but you do play as him for the first part of the game.
Colonel Adam Shavers
Age: 41
Weapon: .47 Handgun
Biography:
As a child, Shavers was never really well-known in his hometown. He joined the Defense Forces to impress his past girlfriend, who is also in the army with him.
Commanding half of Mortar's troops, Shavers leads his men with pride and respect. In fact, the main reason why Mortars is still in the military is mostly because of Shaver's determination.
The Recruit
Age: 18
Weapon: Standard Issue G47 Battle Rifle
Biography:
After you finished High School, you noticed an ad for the Defense Forces, and you immediatly joined to impress everyone at home.
During boot, you made great friendships with your fellow squad-mates, and completed everything the DIs instructed you to do. As a soldier of the DF, you begin as a low-class Private, and was put immediatly into a platoon of battle-hardened troops.
Sergeant Dick Morris
Age: 18
Weapon: Standard Issue G47 Battle Rifle
Biography:
You're platoon leader, who you've also had a close friendship back at Boot. After boot, he was sent to the frontlines to prove his worthy of being a soldier. After coming back, he was promoted to First Sergeant and was given command of a platoon.
As a child, Morris dreamed of becoming a DF soldier, and he got his chance at age 17.
Corporal Joe Hark
Age: 18
Weapon: Standard Issue G47 Battle Rifle
Biography:
As a kid, Joe had set his sights on the Army, and when the recruitment booth came to his town, he was excited.
Your best friend during boot camp. Joe joined you platoon just so that you and him could fight together. Nothing else was known about him.

UNIT STATS
--DEFENSE FORCES--
Infantrymen
Ammo: 6 shots before having to reload
Desc: The heart of both armies, actually, Infantrymen are the weakest, but useful, units in the game.
MB80V Battle Tank
Ammo: 1 shot before having to reload
Desc: The tank has great stopping power on a Mecha. Just about every platoon in the game has at least 1 of these.
C-Class Battle Suit
Ammo: 10 Shots before having to reload/Hand-to-hand
Desc: The fall-back unit for the DF, the C-Class Battle Suit has enormous strength against other Mecha.
GK9 Heli
Ammo: 1 Missle before having to reload
Desc: The first available air-support your troops will have during battle. GREAT against Mecha and Tanks.
SPECIAL UNITS
------------------
Flamer
Ammo: 2 shots before having to reload
Desc: USeful against Infantrymen, the Flamer uses a flamethrower to kill it's enemy.
MECHA REBELS
------------------
(I won't include the Infantrymen.)
H-Class MECHA
Ammo: 15 shots before having to reload
Desc: The best Mecha to combat. Hard to take down with just infantry, but easy targets for tanks and other Mecha.
(They also stole the tanks, so I won't include those either. They have NO Helis.)
SPECIAL UNITS
------------------
Grenadier
Ammo: 5 grenades before having to reload.
Desc: Weak, but useful against tanks.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The game is very much still in its development stages, and I'm working on it right now.
