The Legend of Zelda: Return to Hyrule

I am making, as you can see, a Legend of Zelda game using RPG Maker XP.

Story:

After returning to Hyrule after a 2 year absence, Link notices that things are not the same.  Ganondorf has kidnapped Princess Zelda in his attempt to use the power of the Triforce as his own.  Link accepts his new quest to destroy Ganondorf once and for all!  The kingdom of Hyrule hangs in the balance!

Um, why don't you tell us a bit more? Right now, this could be generic Zelda fangame #55187, we wanna hear what sets it apart! What two year absence? Does this take place after Ocarina of Time, or something? If so, why is Ganon there? Wasn't he defeated? You seriously need to put up some more info, what you have right now doesn't even equal a blurb on the back of the box. Of course, I don't really know how useful CD can be to a fangame, but it's worth a shot, I suppose.

I appreciate the criticism.  Now I didn't keep up with the legend of zelda games after Ocarina of time b/c I don't have the next gen systems.  But Ganon is still alive b/c without him it wouldn't be a Legend of Zelda game.  Although I suppose I could come up with another villian.  Link was banished from Hyrule after the King of Hyrule got upset with him(I haven't figured out why).  Now I want to make more weapons and items, but I cannot draw or sprite or anything.  But I will find a way to do this.

You can tell he cheated on princess Zelda.

Ha ha now that would mae for a good story, trying to regain a relationship, working on trying to save a world he is banished from and no loger seen as a hero but a sex mongerer (how on earth do I spell that?)

O yeah I'm not a big Zelda fan and right now your story is rather as computer gees would put it: noobish.
You need way more thought before you even create a concept thread. Sofar your concept consists of I LIKE ZELDA I MAKE FANGAME!
I don't mean to appear rude, there is noway for you to learn how to improve without making mistakes in the first place.
As has stated you can set a game some time in the future and ignore past events and proceedings.

well for a while a kinda abandoned the quest to make the best.zelda.game.ever. However with a little effort what's stopping me from going to http://www.thespritersresource.com or http://www.picceta.com and getting the nessecary resources to make this game. I mean I can manipulate the ABS system to where I can litterally make Link attack like he did in A link to the past. Or I can do one better. I can even look for a Legend of Zelda ABS. But along with the game The Dark Tyranny, The Legend of Zelda: Return to Hyrule won't be all talk and WILL happen!!!

And yes, Gannondorf was defeated. However, the gates of Hades was opened up and the space time continuum was manipulated and BOOM, Gannondorf was brought back to life.
