What is The Legend of Zelda: Memories of the Past?

The Legend of Zelda: Memories of the past is a new Legend of Zelda RPG built in RMXP that has just started in production. Link, the main character, must travel through Hyrule and solve clues to his past before he his destroyed by a new race named the Memuri.

Story

The story is still highly in development, but the story starts off with Link leaving home on an adventure to find out about his past and who he really was. He will eventually stumble upon a race named Memuri who feed upon the past, as the future is created, allowing an equal balance (or something like that XD). They become enraged because Ganondorf, Zelda and Link since they have skipped through time so many times and they have avoided death by all means. Link must battle against the Memuri and save his Princess Zelda, all while battling against a vengeful Ganondorf. Still needs work.

Features

Single Player Menu
You can see everything about the main character here. Exp gained, Exp needed, money, stats, equipment and more.

Side-View Battle System / Animated Battlers
Self explanatory. Seems alot more fun during a turned-based battle.

Common Event Visual Equipment
The battler changes whenever new equipment is equipped (mainly weapons). Makes the game more customizable and fun! Will allow players more individuality, so not everyone will be wearing the same armor and weapons.

Okay, levels? Gear? Side-view battle system? What part is Zelda? This is just my opinion but unless this has the traditional ARPG style that Zelda is loved for then it's hardly a fangame and really won't be fun. Are you keeping the tradition RPG structure or is it up in the air? I hope you use an ARPG system.

You have the overworld sprite of the Link and the Battle and Menu sprites of Toon Link, you should make it more consistent by changing them so they're all the same. The maps look blank and directionless but if they're only for showing off the system then I guess it's not a problem.
 
At least the presentation of the thread is good but this should be in concept development as it doesn't seem to tell us much. I'm not against going beyond Zelda's Action RPG base, in fact I'm all for it, I think it'd make an interesting story that Link can't do his quest by himself for once. Right now the storyline looks more cliché than classic. The lost past thing has been done a hundred times before, it's even done by me but you need to be more specific when outlining it or it comes off as lazy and tired not a retelling of a classic story-point.

Please either update this topic to include a lot more information for us or have a mod move it to Concept Development because it doesn't belong in Project Discussion yet otherwise.
