There really is little to critique on. For the story part though, I think Ganondorf's grandson would be better then the actual Ganondorf coming back. Other then that it's not bad. Do more and post more on your project.

yea you really need more stuff than this. more info in the game itself and how it plays(maybe i don't know what all the zelda starter kit has); give us some more screenshots too(why the fuck are those so small? imgzoom=/= full-size image). also progress bars are a joke, lose it

Honestly, (This game looks pretty good, but,)
it is the same thing. You get the master sword and defeat ganon.
Maybe make it a little more --- you know, unique.

Why make a poll with that option if you're gonna restart it when people vote it as low as they can? For all you know this could be the worst game ever you're gonna be biased towards it because you made it. Also why didn't you put Superbad in the poll?

@The people nagging about the story: Look at every single Zelda game and see if the storyline changes, it's been the same since the start and you still love it so stop crying. Making Link talk or putting some deeper heart wrenching story in it would spoil the simple and beautiful focus on the game's mechanics.

This looks really crap, no offence, but there's nothing there which elevates it from a 'gonna be gone in a week' thread and if you're just gonna cling to the Zelda franchise and someone elses starter kit then you must not have much skill in making anything original. The gameplay didn't get showcased in any way which is central to a fangame like this and it's just underdeveloped. I say work on it and bring something better.

I see you're using Ace of Spades' fantastic Zelda Engine. But unless you can work your way around with it, you won't get anywhere on the game. The enemies are very complex, with 15 or so pages of event coding, and copying and pasting the same 2 enemies for the whole game won't cut it. I've worked with his system before and I've made sense out of enough of it that I can customize it to work with my game, and I as well added some custom graphics I ripped from The Minish Cap for tilesets, chars etc.

All I'm saying is, I know some people can get excited about that system Ace of Spades made, but if you don't know how to make it work you won't get very far. But it sounds like you're into it so that's good

When you defeat Ganondorf, you achieve his Power Tri-force. But that power is to strong for you, then Dark Link gets created by the Tri-Force, this is your final battle!

@Edit3: How the crap does the tri-force create dark link...It didn't create a dark ganondorf. "But that power is to strong for you." Well ganon could maintain it and you defeat him, why should it create a dark form of link?

Unfortunately fan games do not come out very well in rpg maker XP or VX. People think, "I might as well go buy the actual game at the store" because the fact that it has better graphics, and more scripting abilities.

Well, people say they hate it even if they haven't played it yet. So i put it back up in 5 months or more(or less)

If you ask for people's honest opinions don't fucking expect them to shower you with nothing but positive comments. I'm locking this not only because you've removed any content the thread had, but also because it's obvious you're much too immature to take criticism. Since this is the case, I suggest you find a forum where people will coddle you and sugar-coat their posts, since that is obviously what you're looking for. Thanks
