I love it. Infact, I would love to use it... however there is one thing I think you should add to the template when you get around to doing so. A few variation down/dead templates would be a wonderful addition to it.
 
I'm not the greatest character spriter around, so forgive me if it doesn't look its greatest. Anyways, I've made some use of your template as I said I would've :P



I've tried creating a black or otherwise ethic character by tweaking the pallet colors, but they didn't really turn out very well, so I've stuck to the basic color of your pallet (changing contrast and other values here 'n there). Do you think you could upload a just a couple templates with varied skin tones anytime soon? That would be awesome, because I try and fail.

the shadings of your sprites under my template were simple but the flesh colors, yeah, you're right! It flunked... btw, I used half-kaizers to be honest for the skin colors.
 
Yeah, im kindof new to spriting, ive been doing it a while but have never really shown my sprites off.
I made this using your template, which is great btw :thumb: , and im just wondering if it is any good and what i need to improve on, so any feedback is welcome:

 
I like how your chara's movin' hair, but the clothes you've used needs MOAR contrast, such that it's too dark... that's my view-point, as a creator btw. Ask other critics, even though I'm the template creator, I may fail hittin' other good and bad points.
 
okay ive had a go at adding contrast, although im not quite sure ive got it right:

Just realised what you ment, did you mean adding more shades of red or what?
 
As what others say to my works, you have to "define" areas that should be really bright, such that you're bringing out the lightened parts. Still, it needs moar contrasts, maybe changing one of your color palette to something brighter.

You shouldn't have;
the HK palettes were developed for sprites of a much larger, more detailed nature, meaning less contrast was necessary. Small sprites like these require far different palettes.
 
Apparently Miss Ven, I may have used the Half-Kaizer colors but for one HK blue palette, I mostly use 3 colors from it.

Okay, I might do some experimentation then, for a decent custom palette.
 
Koemushi EVOLVE! is almost there! Meaning, there'll be some medium-level changes to the whole Koemushi template!
