Tori, it now looks like she's dancing instead of taking a step. Her hands need to come forward, not just move to the side. And when you take a step, your arm doesn't get smaller, I do suggest using Johnny as a reference as best you can making her walk, cause right now it doesn't look like she's taking a step, more like dancing.
You hurt my feelings....T.T!!!
lol jks
I don't think she looks like she's dancing in game...I'll admit that skrinking the arms was a cheap attempt to avoid foreshortening...XD
I don't think I'm up to finishing this though (too hard sorry but I'll probably still make something for Johnny). Anyone can take over if they want.
Tori- You need to make her legs lift up while walking...They go forward and backward...not side to side like how you've done it. Try copying the animation cycle(?) from other templates.
One thing to remember (on the female template) is that when your left leg steps forward, your right arm swings forward. This is to keep your body balanced.
Try swinging the same side arm as your leg when you walk, it feels awkward.
This is proberbly why your character looks like she's dancing. I suggest keeping this one and doing another walk cycle. Then edit the current one to look like an idle animation for prissy girls.
I'm going to NYC for a week on business so I'm not going to be able to get online very often, when I return however I'm planning on opening an art request thread, and maybe I could ask people who want stuff made to try and contribute to the Johnny RTP as a lot of people can sprite well.
It seems everyone's eyes skipped over the part of my post where I said I was giving up. I've been trying but I just can't do pixel foreshortening justice (the arm swinging forward) and I find the side view looks seriously intimidating.
