Jeremy Soule is back for this game and has produced a grand Viking chorus and war drums take on the TES theme, and it is amazing. Here it is by itself.
There's also an hour-long podcast (minor spoilers, be warned). Highlights include: disposing of the class system (and it sounds like it may fix the retarded leveling system that has ever plagued the TES games), "perks" you get every level-up that allow you to specialize (e.g. in the one-handed weapon skill, you can specialize in maces, swords, etc.) and finally make it impossible to be perfect at everything, magic that actually makes you feel like the master of arcane force (instead of just learning a fireball spell, you can do all kinds of different things with fire), dragons that fly around and divebomb you and light entire city streets on fire, an effort to make Skyrim have a distinct culture and atmosphere (unlike the generic fantasyland of Cyrodiil), a "radiant story" system that creates minor quests tailored to your character's abilities and previous actions, and possibly more stuff I'm forgetting.
It sounds like they've really learned from their mistakes in previous games, and this might possibly be the best TES game yet. I'm trying not to be too excited because I'll be disappointed if it doesn't live up to expectations, but nonetheless I am really psyched. Release date is set for 11/11/11.
