Made this for the Mascont, but never got the chance to post it. Pains me to see this guy cooped up in my hardisk. So, whatcha think? And yes, I'm bored.

Better than the dragon kid, really. He´s cute, has nice clothes and don´t look odd with a strange dragon costume ^^

But theres nothing defining about him. The Dragon Kid can be easily described, however, this is Joe.

IMO his design is better than dragon kid. Maybe not as suitable for a mascot as dragon kid is (the dragon thing is very RPG-ist), but it´s surely better. The chibi version at the right can show that he´s not that bad as a mascot. I wonder why you haven´t posted it kyoru, you should have my vote on it.

My that outfit is odd. And his lines are almost nonexistant (at least mostly around the face). I do like the outfit. It seems too "Naruto"-ish (ok, this may only be me thinking it screams Naruto-inspired, but that is my opinion) for a RPG forum mascot, however. ^^;

@ Rye.. like most of those things you described couldn't be easily changed. The lines around the face could easily be doctored. Only thing really that couldn't be is the Naruto deal, but umm.. isn't that just anime style in general? I mean, of course each different anime has it's style, but it's called anime for a reason lol

My take on the actual mascot is well.. it would need to be doctored. A lot of the lines would need to be fixed, and especially the eyes would need to change.

But hey, I can't talk, I made my avatar in ps in like 15 minutes, I'm not claiming it's good or anything

Umm... no, I don't care that it is anime at all; I mean I draw like that. It just specificially reminds me of Naruto (which, I don't really mind personally). I didn't mean to insult you if I did, I was just saying how it reminded me of Naruto. I knew it was anime style.

I'm digging the kimono sleeve cutoff things. It looks a lot more manly that I would have ever imagined.

U've just lost $100. Haha. The watery color comes from lack of skill actually...I'm no good at coloring...T_T...

I was aiming for a modern-ish type of game character when designin the little guy. Figured rmxp.org symbolized modern gaming of some sort.

ainus are like tribal northerners in japan.

neo-ainu was just an expression i made up for some of the characters the "blade" guy draws. They're usually samurai that look... tribal and fight extremely crudely.
