The Curse of The White Pixels...

Ok when I make battlers for RMXP I work by drawing larger images, color and resize them. In order to give a transparent color, I usually set the background color to one that is totally different from the other colors I used to make the battler.

Now on to the problem. Every time I try to color fill a background it ends up leaving little white specks along the outline that makes it fugly, and the "Anti-alias" option in photoshop does not work, as when I put the battler in the game it gives out colored specks around the border instead. Right now, the only solution I have to this is to TEDIOUSLY edit the battler pixel-by-pixel and clean out the crap.

Yeah, what I want to know is that is there an easier way to set the background color of battlers (with any image-editing tool) so that when you import them to RMXP you won't see pixel specks and have to do the long editing process? If you know, then I'd prefer that you'd share your knowlege. :D

Anti-aliasing causes such if the background is solid(opaque) or semi-transparent. Drawing on transparent background or, use pixel resizing(I can' t recall what it was called in photoshop).
