The art of Screen Shotting... (which would be best in my example situation)?

Good day everybody!

There are many different screenshot scripts out there, all of which I've never actually tried, so I've come here to ask which script would be best for the system I'm trying to design.

What I'm wanting to do (I'm writting a Warp script I want to do this with) is I need to be able to take a screenshot, with current tinting, weather and events, and crop only the radius of X ammount of tiles around the player. These picture(s) will be recalled later as a preview of Warp Points recently visited.

I did see a Save Menu by Rataime (I hope I spelt his name correctly) a while back that does something like this, but I forget what the code looked like, but if you've ever played the Master of the Wind series you should have an idea of what I'm trying to do. What would be the best methodology for taking the shot with the map, tint, weather, events? Is there something out there that has these options of which to include? The only thing I don't want included in the screenshot is the player, is there a screenshot script with that option? I'm not worried about how to crop and blt the image, just how to produce the image.
