Well something I could suggest from your last post is;

You said you got offered a lead singer position, why not take it AND open the gamesplacedoodah ? Yeah, you'll have to put it on hold for a while, but when you finally get it open, you could even have your band play a few songs every weekend or something, and maybe get other small bands in too (The good ones that aren't mainstream crap), teenagers love music, they love games, they love paintball, you could be getting more people in on weekends, so you'd get more money, cause if you think about it, lots of people like music more than games, so they'd just pop in on the weekends but still be spending on drinks and food.

Thats what I think anyways.

I don't know about there in the US, but here in Canada games there has been Guitar Hero/Rock Band likes games tournaments sprouting a little all over the place. These sort of demand more participation and can be much more interesting then just playing a regular shooter when you are with tons of friends.

But yeah, 12k really is a lot. I can't imagine you keep up with such a lease.

I can't imagine anyone keep up with that. That's why I said it's probably been vacant for a good while or the owner has had a hard time keeping a tenant.

Yeah, we wouldn't be able to keep up with the lease. Maybe if we were Walmart. Maverik, a huge gas station chain in the area barely makes 12k a month. I've seen their reports.

@jbrist: The only problem with that is.... The band plays mainly in St. George, Utah, and Rob and I live in Star Valley Wyoming, which are 10 hours apart. So I couldn't be at both places at once. It would be too tough to work there AND tour with the band.

I'll talk to my aunt about it though. She may have some ideas. The reason the rent is so high is because they just BARELY put it up for lease, so I'm sure they aren't desperate yet. But when they start realizing that there are only two millionaires in Star Valley, and neither of them need a warehouse, then they'll drop the price drastically..... Hopefully.

The point of the place would be to get all of these kids with NOTHING to do off of the street, out of drugs and drinking, and into a place where they could fit in, have fun, and ultimately make friends.

We have this where I live. Last time I was there a group of 20 kids assaulted my friend and almost beat him to death. And I almost got stabbed. My other friend had a billiard ball thrown at her head, and someone attempted to crush her with a chair. And the kids have sex in the auditorium.

Yes, all that really happened.

Ha ha. I know I shouldn't laugh, but I honestly could see that going on. Rob and I talked to a few cops about it. (We sell them donuts after midnight so the public doesn't know that they actually eat them, so we're in tight.) They basically said that they'd be a call away and would make sure that nothing like that happened. There are quite a few hooligans in the town, but the cops know them all personally, and it's not too hard to keep them out once they've made their first offense. Besides.... we're in Wyoming. Everyone owns a 12-gauge here. People don't throw things and expect to walk away without holes in their bodies. : )

Don't worry though. The business went under before it even started. All the places we looked into were either too small, or the place that would have been perfect, the guy wanted $12,000 a month for.... which is honestly ridiculous. Even my aunt, the best professional realitor in the area said that the guy was a greedy bastard. XD He's very wealthy and he'll never rent it for that price... but oh well. I'm moving on anyway. It would have been a great idea, but we don't have the money for it, and there's no way we'd be able to make that kind of income anyway.

I'm sorry about your friend though. Glad you didn't get stabbed.
