In RM2k there where spcial bits of coding you could use to delay, or have timers set to your text so it automatically disapered after a certain amount of time, text appeared at a set speed and so on. Can that be done with RMXP? Because the help file wasn't to informative.

Ccoa's UMS v1.6.3

It's a Universal Message System with the features you mentioned. It may take a while to learn how to use it, but by looking at the events in the demo you should find it easy to use.
