Text input box is too small

In RPG Maker XP, why is the "show text" input box too small? It only fits three lines of text, while the program is designed for 4 lines. How do I fix this?

Yeah, you have to use a script if you want one window of text to contain more than three lines. Search for Ccoa's UMS or Dubealex's AMS. I recommend the UMS. It's easier to use and such, at least for me.

Where is the UMS? I can't find it.

My computer used to let me have four lines of typing, I dont know why it doesnt now.
But Ive never used any scripts for it.

If you use Batch Text Entry, you can enter four lines of text.

But then I can't edit the text afterward. Where is the UMS?

Edit: Nevermind, I found the UMS, but I don't see how that solves the problem of the input field.

Yeah, Batch Text Entry isn't perfect. You have to rewrite sections of it instead of editing.

Unfortunately, that's part of the maker itself, and no script of any kind will change that, unless you wanted to use Script Calls in place of Show Text-- but at that point, you're making way more work for yourself than just retyping everything in Batch Text Entry.

You have to do a certain thing in a call script or in the message you're typing. There's a list of all the neat things you can do with the script IN THE SCRIPT ITSELF.
