I've been having this problem for a while with game hints that i have for my game. but what could work if u try is instead of putting your text '' Its Late'' in the top Left corner when u create that picture in paint or whatever program you use,
instead put it in the middle of the project page that you are useing in paint
and then upload it to rpg maker xp and see if that works
heres of an example that I've been trying for my game

Uploaded to RPG MAKER XP
so if i were to remove the ''A modelitup.com'' the production would be in the middle so thats how I would do it. good luck hope this works and you understand. sorry if you don't.

If you use: $game_system.ums_mode = FIT_WINDOW_TO_TEXT

I think both answers stated ^^^ are good. I was only going to add, I'd use the Show Picture Command. It's a wonderful little command with alot to do with it. It can really make a cut scence or what ever look really good! Also i like to use it as to show little collectibles, like Mario to his Coins..or Sconic to his Rings. I hope things work out!
