@Liquid
The imperial, Hadvar I think his name was?
I'm making a "good" character and I thought the Empire were the good guys. (Still think so)
I also managed to glitch that dude, he appears every time I enter Whiterun and starts following me with his sword drawn. :/

On a different note, the questline involving the civil war was a big dissappointment, spoilers coming up:

All I had to do was capture four forts and then make the final assault on Windhelm (Would've been Solitude if I had picked a different side.)
They could've made a lot more of this side of the story.

So ven was right, I made a new game with the intent of going sneak

fuck this is fun. Wastes SOOO MUCH TIME as I wait for myself to become hidden again, but it is so satisfying. I came to this camp where 3 or 4 imperials are all just STANDING AROUND DOING SHIT, and I got a cinematic assassin kill for each of them (affter pick pocketing them of course)

77 sneak skill atm. It's p terrible how I somewhat suck at full frontal battles, though.

I, like many who have the PC version, am suffering from the hard crash bug.

It isn't worth splitting my PC memory in hopes of getting a lucky six hours without crashing. It worked great the first day I had it. Now, I am lucky to play 40 minutes without hard crashing.

Bringing up the world map seems to be a 50/50 in terms of crashing.

wow, i've never noticed crashes. once, while i was enchanting equipment, i fell into this weird bug where i couldn't possibly exit the enchantment menu or alt+tab out of the game, so I had to ctrl+alt+del close it.

besides that and a few random visual glitches (like once, people were sitting on tables when i walked into a room, or a few times, a texture became invisible if i looked at it from JUST the right angle) i haven't experienced any nasty probs.

i've barely even broached the main storyline after going to High Hrothgar. There are so many other quests. So. Many. My journal is freaking bloated with quests b/c I talk to everyone and read every book/scrap of paper, and I just like to jump on a horse and explore. So many quests!!!! Like 1.5 bajillion quests.

Not boring ones, either. Crap like pilfering sacred artifacts, or performing rituals for a god of pus, or humiliating a woman b/c she sleeps with lots of men ...

Plus I am determined to max out smithing. Almost at 80 ~ Have full glass armor/weapons now :D
(Unfortunately, I maxed out my crafting pursuits faster than my combat ones, and due to the levelling system, it's harder to kill things than it should be D:)
(I wish the Level Up and Skills sections were different, so I wouldn't be req'd to level up just to put points into skills. I understand WHY they did it that way, but when you're level 22, it doesn't really cut the mustard during a fight to be a level 78 smith/level 60 enchanter/level 69 alchemist, but only a level 43 marksman >_>) (i could try to NOT level up, and just do the skills alone, but then if i am jonesing for making glass armor, and i need the perk for it, i have no choice but to level up!)

Made my character get married just now.
It's pretty laughable, there's no effort required to get a relationship going.

"Life in Skyrim is too short to worry about romance" is the excuse.

This basically means you can marry any NPC that you've made a decent reputation with.
I did one quest for some Nord woman and could marry her after that.
The benefits of marriage depend on whom you marry I think, my wife can only cook for me and share the profits of her store but I've heard that you can use others as followers as well.

This is how you get married in case anyone is wondering (It's not really explained in game until you meet the required person.) :

- Go to Riften and buy an Amulet of Mara from the priest named Maramal in the Temple of Mara. (I've heard you can also do a quest to get the amulet instead of paying for it, but I haven't tried that myself.)
- Wear the amulet and talk to the person you want to marry.
- If the person likes you enough he or she will suggest to get married.
- Go back to Maramal and tell him you want to have a wedding ceremony.
- Attend your wedding.
- You're married!

When I could play, there were some odd happenings. Plenty of random events were occurring.

I actually had an escaped convict with bronze tanned skin (Human) wearing a speedo following me around in a crouched position and when I finally turned around and noticed, he made me hold an item for him and said he would be back later for it. He also stated that he would kill me if I double crossed him by ratting him out. When I tried questioning this, he was like, "NO TIME TO EXPLAIN, STEALING THAT HUNTER'S HORSE OVER THERE KBAI"

2 minutes later, I'm chatting up some wondering bard with a Spanish accent, and a male generic Hunter comes running up asking if I have seen a partially nude guy riding a horse. I guess he was successful. I've seen other characters earn an arrow in the head for stealing a Hunter's horse.

I decide that I should probably go to some tower near by because it obviously has a Necromancer at the top. I mean, it is painfully obvious by how unkempt it looks and it only has one level. A sexy, brown female hunter wearing little to nothing is shooting some Elk in the background distracting me as three Skeleton warriors try to touch me inappropriately from out of nowhere. All three have heavy looking shields and ancient Nordish Longswords. Lucky for me, the Huntresses horse notices this and springs into action. It solos all three of the skeletons before I can be seriously harmed. It gives me an approving horse nod and gallops off back to the main trail.

Moral of the story: Horses are bad ass motherfuckers.

so i caved in and bought it
when I first started playing i had no clue what i was doing and to some extent i still dont really have a clue. Like Im roaming around but I feel as if I am missing something important. I havent gotten super far (killed the first dragon) in the main quest and have been doing sidequests like the companions ~

Im doing a lizard sneak build like last time~
Im kind of iffy about the perks mainly because I feel there are far too many. But that is also the strategy as well~
I love the world map though and the world itself. Oblivion was just way way way too big for its own good and the world was boring and unexciting. I totally prefer this smaller more concise world~

There;s hardly been any bugs and crashes. Every now and then I press something and it would BLANK OUT END THE GAME- like, if I exit normally, it would take 5 secs for the client to totally terminally. But the crash are just like WHOOSH, desktop, nothing, no error report, nothing. Happened 2-4 times already, nothing important, but it's like, interesting.

I've had one instance where I sneaked and daggered this sleeping guy, and his body just glitched up, moving after death, twisting, etc. That was mostly it.

The LARGEST bug I've seen was the bug with the first quest. For some reason, after I killed the draught overlord, I could not loot his body AT ALL. Glitched the quest. Tried 5 times before I said FUCKIT, then entered, got the shout, full out melee'd the boss, then looted him. AS FAR AS I COULD TELL, it gltiched because I looted the treasure chest before I got the dragon word shout thing. Maybe it was I took forever to kill him with sneaking and shites, who knows.

Btw I just got the mace of molag bal and the ring of namira. I was so psyched out that I could eat people, and my friend Ed, who is totally in fucking love with this game series/style/bethesda (he was raging so hard all weekend at having laptops too crappy to play), was like you're crazy, since I could, you know, eat people.

I keep dying :c
I think I am almost done with the companion quests and passed the key plot point a while ago. Just gotta finish with these silverhands~

the people arent what kill me its the creatures
i mean trolls are terribly slow but they kill me so fast
and dont get me started on those snowwraths those are terrible
my archery and sneak are super high though (like 60) (thats not super high but whatever~). My issue is that if I dont kill the enemy in one shot its most likely going to take some potions :c

I'm currently on the hunt for new words of power, the dungeons are all pretty interesting so far.
It's too bad the Storm Call dragon shout is not working properly, every time I use it I end up killing more of my allies then enemies.

Awesome Bro

So I decided to "aquire" this yesterday, and so far I've made a Khajiit, although I'm going to reroll as a human I think, my Khajiit is basically a stealth character with a bow, although I do use a bit of melee too... haven't really done anything of the main quest, infact, the first time they give you freedom, I took it and just ran around exploring, got killed by a dragon too, but it was pretty cool, I was just minding my own business on my horse, then I hear a big whoosh, so I jumped off my horse and turned around, and what do you know... a great bit dragon is standing there, with the "sup?" expression on its face... naturally, I charged at it with nothing but a dagger, and after a few hits, it was like "DENIED!" and set me on fire... then swiped me... and I was like AWW WHAT THE FUCK?!

... So yeah, gonna' make a human and go a full blown melee spec, with some magic too ofcourse (Because let's face it... magic is always cool no matter how you look at it)

Also, what the fuck at the shadows in this game, they're fucking HIDEOUS and really put me off, I mean, even with them set to ultra, they're SO god damn ugly! It's a good job you can mess around in the .ini file to make some nice effects (You can make really nice shadows, but the draw distance for them is reduced, and looks really odd...)

same here
snow trolls are the bane of my life

I prefer trolls over bears mainly because trolls are so slow
that and their attack pattern is so predictable that I can get through the fight with only a few scratches
but jesus it takes so many arrows to kill one of them that i dont know if its really worth it

Ive been exploring the world and surprisingly my quest journal isnt super full. Except for the MISC quests
I found the dark brotherhood so I am probably going to start that after I finish the companions
After climbing that huge mountain for the main quest I dont think I am strong enough to continue
I also still have leather armor and an elven bow so I am trying to get better stuff~

I just finished the Companion questline....
Is it just me or are the sidequest-lines all very short?
In Oblivion it would take forever to get to the top of the fighters guild while in Skyrim I feel like I just joined and 5 quests later BAM I´m done!
Same story with the civil war, I get the feeling that there hasn´t been put much effort into the sidequests...

I started out as a Breton with WarAxe 'n Shield, but now im only using conjuration and destruction...
Overcasting Summon Flame Atronach is so much fun :D

So I made my Nord and currently have just an Iron Mace and Iron Shield, as well as an Iron Warhammer for those moments when you just need to give someone a good overhead smash...

I'm not sure if I want this character to have more health or stamina though, I mean, health is the obvious choice, but if I want him to be able to continuously swing his weapon like a sick bastard, I'm going to need stamina too... I'm also going to be levelling some of his mage skills too because it'd be great to have a weapon and magic at the same time, but that can wait until later, and it won't be something I'd spam too often anyway...

I'm a warrior and stamina is pretty much useless I think. only power attacks (which are a waste) use stamina and blocking (which doesn't use that much). Your of way better with just investing in health.

I hitted 40 today, yeah me! :)
Full set of glass legendary equipment. Now I just gotta try out the Azura's star because it seems really interesting.
Also the dragon armor looks awfull, I'm keeping my sexy glass stuff

My breton knight owns. During the weekend i maxed out his blacksmithing and built myself some legendary dragonbone plate set w/ shield and a legendary ebon sword. Now he just tanks about the world finding dungeons and leaving a wake of death and plunder behind him. He has magical protection on top of his natural magic resistance, so he's just a recipe for general badassery against all comers regardless of class. Mages are an absolute joke against him, archers might as well be armed with bb guns, and most warriors are total candyasses in comparison. I think I should rename him The Tick for he is nigh invulnerable. I'm working on maxing out his enchantment so he can take all his legendary junk and turn it into some lordly arsenal of candyass capping. I got bored with just raiding all the dungeons with him and started a khajit thief to master the swift and deadly art of stealth assasination. Khajit are ridiculously perfect for thieves since they are definitely faster than the other races.

Also don't underestimate stamina since your shield pummel strike is so useful against those heavy two handed hitters. Once your block is high enough the shield pummel is a sure thing for staggering those heavy hitters to get enough of an edge in those standoffs with the heavies.

just got it.

graphics in this game are amazing, mainly the people since they look so much more real this time around. That opening sequence blew me away.

I chose a dark elf for my character in this game, which is weird for me because I'm normally about brute strength. I look like satan, got blacked out eye sockets and all that shit. I'm probably going to train mostly in Destruction, One Handed Weapons, and stealth skills. By the end I want to be able to light my sword on fire, take off a head with it, and then duck into the shadows Sam Fisher style.
