okay, so i found my first dungeon i think. But I had to dig really, really deep to find it. I just started exploring it when all of a sudden a worm popped out of the wall and nearly gave me a heart attack and I basically died. :c

Im trying to get a better sword and maybe some armor but I dont really know how to. I have a furnace, an anvil, and a bench. x:

So what happens when you die? What do you lose exactly? And do you spawn back at a certain point?

I think that you dont lose anything (which is a little lame)
also when you die you start out at your original spawn point.

uh.. i made a post in here but for some reason it disappeared..

the only thing you lose when you die is half your money as well as a wait time before you can respawn, which is punishment enough for me as i can't stand waiting around. the mobs spawn very very fast, and its so so easy to get overwhelmed. you should expect to die a LOT more than in minecraft. you are almost always guaranteed to be hit while playing the game in mplayer. splayer its very easy to dodge the mobs.

Make about 5 or 6 boss summoning items, and see how quickly you can own them.

i can't kill the skeleton boss, he's too goddamn hard. way too much hp


i've killed the destroyer of worlds 4 or 5 times, i forget, and gotten all his armor that he drops, as well as made myself a light saber, and got this thorn weapon that shoots a long vine, the 'ball o hurt' and uh.. a musket. got 280 health as well

Combat Progression:

-Mine gold until Full Gold Armor and Gold broadsword
-Kill demon eyes and get lenses, craft suspicious eyes at demon altar
-flatten area, spawn eye of cthulu and repeatedly kill for demonite ore
-explore until corruption is found, obtain vile mushrooms and rotten stuff
-make table with bottle ontop for alchemy station, create vile powder from vile mushrooms
-craft worm bait at demon altar from vile poweder and rotten stuff
-summon eater of worlds at corruption, get lots of demon scales
-craft demonsword, full demon armor, and demon pickaxe
-farm obsidian by making lava and water meet underground
-create obsidian skull at crafting bench
-dig hole to hell, mine lots of hellstone
-use obsidian and hellstone @ hellstone forge to make hellstone bars, craft endgame shit
-go into dungeons and underground forests

Shame I didn't know about this program until after we'd done pretty much 99.999% of everything
(well, I guess it's not a shame, b/c I totally would have used it to cheat.)

As you can see, I eventually built a bridge to each floating island, and a bridge to the 1st corruption we found.

Sam flooded hell, thinking it would help. Like the imps wouldn't shoot fire on him if they were under water. He was wrong. They did it just as much, but after the flood, he moved slower.

I attempted to reduce the PAAAIIIIIIN by tunnelling AROUND the dungeon. That actually helped a lot!!

We knocked out much of the dungeon's majesty ;x

Our main house looked like a ... house. It had a brick facade and everything else was made of glass and stone. I knocked out some of the back walls and made "paintings" out of gold/copper/silver walls and the walls we "confiscated" from the dungeon. Attached via strange umbilical cord were the NPC tenements. Which I tried to make pretty with chandeliers and such.

We're done playing the game until the next few big updates happen but that was a lot of fun :3

in full cobalt gear they were hitting me for like 30 each and if you stopped to smell the jungle roses for 5 seconds, 28931824904 of them would spawn and swarm my ass >:|

also we stomped the eater of worlds 4 times
he was actually pretty easy :x
skeletron was only hard b/c we ran past him into the dungeon and got stomped by his stupid rotating heads, after that he was cake. i think we actually had a harder time with the eye, but mostly b/c HE found US and surprised us ;x

the goblin army was CUUUUUUTTTTTTTTTTEEEEEEEEE

Oh yeah, the aboveground jungle. Gotta love Red's drive to revolutionize the genre by taking a biome that was sort of interesting and copy-pasting it into a place where it isn't interesting anymore.

What'd you use to take that huge-ass picture? I don't have much in the way of cool constructions right now, but I'd love to show off my dorfcastle.
