Despite what the title may look like, these are in fact two seperate problems.
Problem 1:
I've recently bought The Orange Box by Valve off Steam. Out of the three that have downloaded so far (Portals, HL2, HL2:LC) I can play Portals completely fine.
When I load up either HL2 games though, I get the blue screen of death, telling me that my video driver was caught in an "infinate loop". I've downloaded every patch and update provided by windows and NVidia imaginable, even the Forceware Beta driver, with no improvement whatsoever.
Does anyone know the cause of this or how to fix it?
Problem 2:
Today I just set up Talk Talk broadband. Everything went alright until setting up the e-mail. I set up the e-mail and applied it to Thunderbird (my e-mail client of choice) manually. Then when it came to the Talk Talk installer checking the e-mail, it failed the "send e-mail" check. After many tries with changing the account settings (and even trying it in Outlook Express with the auto-install function), I got the same result, so I went on anyway.
Using the Assist & Go program, the same error is still there, except it's the more specific "Check for Outgoing Mail Server".
We've tried ringing the help service, and after re-setting it to Outlook Express the only thing we've been able to deduce is that the e-mail still recieves and sends e-mail, albeit with long delays and sometimes not at all...NOT the reason for the error or how to fix it.
Does anyone know why this error appeared and how to fix it? How would I set up my Talk Talk account with Thunderbird accurately?
Thank you for your time.
