Team Ico returns- The Last Guardian

This is kinda old news. I just found out about the new game by the creators of Ico and Shadow of the Collosus.
I read about it in a magazine and then later saw that there's been a trailer out since June.

I haven't heard much hype about The Last Guardian. The trailer doesn't make me all excited either. But supposedly this is going to be like Ico in that you're guiding a second character around. Only instead of a girl, you're guiding a giant (baby?) griffin.
I enjoyed the other two games. I don't want to be disappointed, but lets hope this third game is just as fun. I'm also curious how/if they're going to tie this game to the others.
Penny-arcade posted a comic saying you know this game is going to end with either the boy or griffin dying. I got a feeling they're right. After watching the trailer with it's "precious moments" music, what else could you expect?

After Shadow of the Colossus I want to personally fallate every member on team Ico so I'll eat whatever shit sandwich they cook up in that fantastic little kitchen of theirs and I'll smile while scarfing it.

This is one of the few games which makes me regret not owning a PS3 ;-;
I just hope the framerate is better than Shadow of the Colossus lol.

Another beautiful game by the Ico team. Seriously, they have an exceptional talent for developing relationships in characters and the music is fucking genius. I hope this one won't be as repetitive as SotC, not saying it was a bad game or anything, because it was far from it. Far, FAR from a bad game. The graphics were insane in some of the colossi, namely the fourth one I think it was. When it roared, the blurriness made it look like PS3 graphics.

technically it WAS repetitive ... I mean, the formula was:
find a colossus > locate its blue spot(s) > kill > wake up in temple > repeat

but holy jesusnuggets it was just so well done. it didn't feel repetitive. I'd wake up in the temple and then just be like "yeah yeah blah blah evil temple god, I get it lemme gogogogogogogoogogo" and I'd be on pins and needles to get to the next colossus. I beat that shit the 1st time over a day and a half, only putting it down to sleep and eat o.O

So this was also known as "Project Trico". Just by itself you think Ico 3, right. Trico is suppose to be the name of the big griffin thing.
I got this off wikipedia; It's name in Japanese is Toriko, which can mean prisioner, baby bird, or a blending of the words bird and cat. I thought it looked more like a dog :/

That's how all three work, when you think about it. Figuring out how to kill a Colossus was a puzzle in itself.

I second what Twirly said. Team ICO looks so awesome it's hard not to regret picking a 360.

Okay, maybe that's a bit much, but it still looks good.

Saw this trailer for another game. It's getting a lot of crap for being identical to the last guardian. If this starts a new trend of games what are they going to start calling it? Companion Puzzle Games, cpg? It's not really a new concept to lead a second character around. At least it's not another dark and gritty FPS. The trailer does follow the last guardian's trailer in that it starts out all mysterious and the switches over to happy cute music.
