Tatsunoko vs Capcom

The huge characters really aren't unbalanced, beam characters and grapplers pretty much shut them down and they have no way to regain life. Though, they're still fun to use sometimes.

From what I played of the Japanese version I prefer this to MvC2. Partly due to less assist spam, and partly the easier combo system, it reminds me of Bleach DS. And the Baroque system is amazing.

So happy they got MMX Zero in this instead of MMZ like in SvC Chaos. Now we just need X in something.
And getting an online traditional fighter on the Wii will be nice. Gonna have fun ruining people with Tekkaman :D

Easier combos=less engaging fights

i might not be playing this too much online, word has there is HUGE input lag which will piss me off if so.

I'm actually willing to give this another try as soon as I find myself an english copy though. Watered down aside, the Wii doesn't really have much else to offer as far as traditional fighting games go.

Fighting games really werent intended for it, so most developers skip it.

imo capcom felt sorry for the wii and ported TvC out of pity. I wouldnt be surprised if it ended up on PSN in a year or so.

I just ggpo all my shit anyways, and i still already paid for this with the stick so i might as well give it a shot on the console.

I really don't think that's true. With the standard Wiimote/Nunchuk grip you've got four buttons you could use easy. While Capcom fighters usually prefer to take full advantage of six buttons, I think four seems workable for a decent fighter. The only drawback I see here's the nunchuk's control stick. I've tried and it feels like I might break the thing if I go through all the motions with it while playing, but I guess that's what the arcade stick's for.

4 works for most snk games, but it still feels awkward. I like it in Garou but in all the other it feels odd, since most fighters are default 6. If youre trying to make the point to use a controller or a wiimote/nun I WOULDNT RECOMMEND IT id just get a fight stick and call it a day. I tried using the cube controller on CvS 2 and it was a nightmare. I works in a less precise game, like Brawl, where you have more time to calculate attacks and movements. The nunchuk is just awful man.

It's still useable when you have no other option though. The way I see it TvC could actually be considered a serious fighter if developers had decided to take the kid gloves off.

Yeah I agree, its just uncomfortable as hell and the curve is steep imo. If they wanted to really make it more serious they would have made the mapping a little better. I love the game itself, the semantics of it are just pretty lame.

Yeah, pity. But then again a partnership with a studio that's no longer relevant should've yielded low expectations earlier on. Would've been amusing to see them partner up with something like Shounen Jump (Naruto, Bleach, Dragon Ball Z).

On a lesser note, but needed to be said all the same, maybe we'll have Mickey Mouse on MvC3.
