Tales of the World:Radiant Mythology 2 and Tales of Hearts

Hopefully they'll actually have more characters in RM2 than in the original, along with better character creation options. As for Tales of Hearts, it seems to be another Team Soul game, meaning it'll probably take all the good aspects from Legendia, and mix it with better gameplay. I'll definitely be looking forward to Radiant Mythology 2 at the least, though ToH may surprise people, I dunno.

Also that pic doesnt really tell much except the characters. Is the first one Tales of Hearts? Those graphics look like GBA feces.

Well, as long as it has enough differences from the first RM, I'll be happy. Even so, I'm just glad they're making another one, since while original was great, there were some major flaws. Mainly, very few Tales of characters actually join your party, and out of the ones that do, there is pretty much only one "attack mage". The Tales of Destiny cast doesn't count though since one focuses on healing and the rest were better attackers.


As for Tales of Hearts, I'm not holding my breath, but who knows. It could turn out to be really good. I mean, hell, anything is better than Tales of the Tempest.


Edit:Also, ToH is coming out on the DS, so that's probably why the graphics aren't that great. Still, you'd think they'd go the route Innocence's graphics took at the least. Oh well.

Yeah, RM was great for a PSP rpg title, and it was pretty refreshing from most of the recent Tales shit. It wasnt PERFECT or anything but it was generally good. I would like it moreso if it was just Destiny and Eternia characters since the majority of other Tales of casts are pretty terrible.

As for Tales of Hearts, I'm not holding my breath, but who knows. It could turn out to be really good. I mean, hell, anything is better than Tales of the Tempest.

Since your refrence im assuming its a DS game? Oh dear lord, they better not fuck this one up. So far that looks really bad. Do you have any battle screens on you, Dop?

Also, the main thing I'm loving about RM2 is that Veigue and Guy are revealed from the get-go, which is pretty rad to me. Tales of Rebirth had some cool characters (Their ages were wtf weird though), so I'm routing for Tytree, Mao, and Hilda to be playable. As for Guy, I just want more Abyss characters, since Luke and Tear aren't enough really.


As for Destiny and Eternia, I agree whole-heartingly that the rest of the ToE crew needs to be in it. As for Destiny, just make Philia and Woodrow playable this time, and I'll be happy.

the best part about radiant mythology is you didn't have to sit through gay ass cutscenes or pay attention to any of the shitty dialog in order to enjoy the game (well, it was there for people who gave a shit, but the guild/mission system renderd it irrelevant). it's probably the only tales game i can play, because of this.

as long as they keep that whole mission system in tact, i'll probably at least give radiant mythology 2 a shot. unless its on the wii

Definetly. I think if the game was more free roam it would get a better rep. Remove all the back story BS and I think non-fans will come to enjoy it much more.

ToH has the weirdest graphics I've ever seen. Piss-poor 2D sprites mixed with 3D, and then high-quality CG for major cutscenes. On the plus side, no more recycled graphics.
As for TotW:RM2, it looks like they made sword users usable finally. Cless and Veigue look insane. Also, I'm glad the non-playable characters are playable this time, especially Harold, Nanaly, and Philia. More offensive magic users ftw.

Tales of Hearts reminds me of the Tales of Legendia graphics.

I'll still get it as I love Tales Games, but I think it'll be harder to do multiplayer, my favorite part of Tales, on a DS so I wont enjoy it as much as ToS or ToA.

I heard, thta they are making two versions of ToH. One with CGI cutscenes and one with Anime Cutscenes, so that players can choose wich they like best. (And maybe some people will buy both = more money)
Generally I think this is quite a good idea. I hope that they finally do release a tales game where I live again. The only ones so far were ToS and ToP for the GBA.  :pissed:
