i'll definitely pick this game up because a) the characters from ToS were f-ing great

what. man the characters in ToS were so anime-generic, I would go through them all but it would be a waste of breath.

I wouldnt care as much if the story was good, but it was pretty crap so meh.

Allow me to refrain - I thought Raine was a great character, and I liked the Lloyd/Genis buddy-flick kinda thing.  In terms of anime-generic-icity, though, there's been much, much worse (i.e. Flonne from Disgaea)

I was thinking of buying this game. But, they made those capture monsters controlled by AI, and not the player. And I believe the other characters other than...Emil and...Martil are AI controlled. So, I don't even think its two players, which is one of the reasons the original was so much fun. And if its two players, I don't want to play as two little teenage kids for the whole game.

I'll wait until it comes out first. Maybe I WILL get it, but I'll have to see its reviews and such. Although they'll probably be bloated and overrating it, but still.

It will have four player co-op.

If you happen to have a few friends lying around they can join you for four-player co-op, but only during battle.

I completely ador the Tales of _ series and pretty much bought the wii JUST so I could play this game. I cannot wait for the release of it.

Having a friend who you always play the game with (don't play on your joint file if he's not there.) makes Tales games so much more interesting.
