You need some more information here. The thing that killed it from the beginning was the poor organization and lack of information. For your story, don't tell us to download a demo, put it up. Don't be lazy with your thread, or else people will not pay attention to it.

Yeah, let's not start out with the "Features" section of your thread. Chances are, most people won't really care so much about what's featured in your game if all you do is just list them. Pictures, however, are a life saver for a game topic as they serve as a means of eye candy for the reader. Why not start off with a game logo for your game, some characters with biographies, a little bit of the plot in the beginning, and most importantly screenshots!
