Switches and Spikes [Resolved]

Hey Guys!
Ive started making a game and I have one major problem that's been there for a while now and I can't seem to fix it  :dead:
I'll tell you what happens: First off, you exit the dungeon cell (where you start off), now the first puzzle (which I'm stuck on) you must find a Switch, activate it, which makes the spikes go down (spikes are blocking your way). Now, this is where I'm troubled. How can I make the spikes go down when you touch the orb (switch)??? Everytime I do something, it will play up or Do something retarded  :crazy: !!!
I would really appreciate some suggestions!

P.S. I don't use code and I defiantly don't know how to RGSS!
 
Here's what to do.
You know how events have multiple pages? Well, make a new page for the spikes event that has a higher number than the spikes processing - this way it'll be called first.
This new page should also have a condition that Switch whatever is ON.
On the orb event, set it to turn Switch whatever ON. This will cause the spikes to change to the new event page.
 
What do you mean by "Higher number of spikes
EDIT: OOOOOOO!!!! I gotya, I did it before but what happened was Ive copied n pasted the spikes, maybe thats why there playin up but - One of the spikes screws up n the others sit ther :( I still cant get thru D:
