Edit: hold on, It didn't work. I deleted graphics.freeze in Scene_menu AND the ring menu, but everything still freezes...

Sorry hmmmm...actually i think its a metho elsewhere....i will have to see later, i dont think the part needed to be editted is in the script.

okay, I'm actually noticing Graphics.freeze in a few spots. SHould i get rid of ALL of them?

You want the map to still update while in menu, right? You need to create a new menu from scratch (you can copy some things from your menu) in Scene_Map not in Scene_Menu.
