suggest me some good synth stuff!

i want some good synth sounds, and all ive been using is gpo's stuff (which is decent, but not very realistic

so reccommend me some synth sounds or vst! preferebly something in strings.

what are the major differances from gold and silver? I have silver and silver pro and they are pretty good but i was wondering if its worth it to drop all the extra cash on gold.
